Lomond Audi GROUP Scotland’s Ultimate Audi Experience
Lomond Audi GROUP Scotland’s Ultimate Audi Experience How our journey started Welcome to The Lomond Audi Group. We were established in 1998 as a single Audi centre in Kyle Street, Glasgow and located in one of the first solus Audi hanger buildings in the UK. It soon became obvious that the business would rapidly outgrow this facility so to accommodate this expansion, we opened our immaculate state-of-the-art premises situated at Braehead and rebranded as Glasgow Audi. This revolutionary building was, and still is, regarded as much more than just an Audi centre. In fact, the unique combination of a magnificent showroom, a café and a children’s play area not only make it the complete Audi experience, but also one of Europe’s largest Audi centres. The Lomond Audi Group employs over 375 highly experienced and dedicated staff. We sell around 8,000 cars every year and our annual turnover is in the region of £160 million. When it comes to Audi Approved aftercare, all our centres cater for anything from a tyre change to an engine rebuild. We even have our very own Audi Approved Accident Repair Centre at Hillington in Glasgow and we also operate three VW Trade Parts Centres. So whatever your requirements, you can rest assured that the Lomond Audi Group will have you back on the road in no time at all. What’s more, in Glasgow Audi’s luxury and performance facility, we offer a selection of more new and used high end, high spec Audi’s than possibly any other dealership in the UK. So if you’re looking for anything from an A1 to an R8, then look no further than Glasgow Audi. With Glasgow Audi proving to be such an enormous success, we branched out, acquiring Edinburgh Audi and Stirling Audi in 2006 and then in 2007, opening Ayr Audi for business. And the story continues when Edinburgh Audi relocated into a superb new facility in the west of Edinburgh, close to the city bypass which is the first Audi centre outside of Munich to follow Audi’s new terminal design. Now we provide an unrivalled service throughout central Scotland from our four cutting edge Audi centres. 3 Management Team Hugh McMahon Group Managing Director With a lifetime in the motor trade, Group Managing Director Hugh McMahon really is a true exponent of the Audi brand. Hugh is a time served technician who moved into the sales side of the industry working for many of Scotland’s leading motor groups. His passion however, was always Audi. So it came as no surprise in 1998 when the Ayrshire businessman decided to dedicate his career to the brand. His Audi journey began when he formed Lomond Motors Ltd and acquired the Appleyard Audi business in Kyle Street, Glasgow. Even then he had bigger plans in mind and a decade or so and four state-of-the-art showrooms later, Hugh has built a great and growing Scottish business with The Lomond Audi Group’s car sales having grown from around 700 in 1999 to over 8,000 in the current year. 4 Derek Clelland / Group Operations Director Derek Clelland started his motor industry career in marketing with the French manufacturer Peugeot before moving to Ford and then to Honda, where he rose to become franchise manger for Scotland. In 2001, Derek moved over to the retail side of the motor trade when he was appointed by a privately owned dealer group as Head of Business for their two Scottish Audi centres. In 2005 Derek joined The Lomond Audi Group as Sales and Marketing Director and was recently appointed Group Operations Director, a role in which he is tasked with day to day management of the group. During his career at Lomong Audi Group, Derek has worked closely with Hugh McMahon to develop the company into the organisation it is today. Peter Grant / Group Development Director Peter Grant started his motor trade career as a sales executive. He worked for many years for a Scottish Ford Dealer Group progressing through the ranks to become their Operations Director. Peter joined The Lomond Audi Group in 2003 and he was heavily involved in the planning and logistics of our flagship Braehead facility. In his role as Group Development Director, Peter has responsibility for structuring programmes to improve group performance in training and development as well as providing specialist advice to our Trade Parts Service facilities and our body shop. 5 Our Centres Glasgow Audi Glasgow Audi is one of Europe’s largest Audi centres. Located off Junction 26 of the M8 at Braehead, Glasgow Audi is much more than just a car showroom. In addition to extensive customer parking, housed on site is a café and a children’s play area. And with a dedicated luxury and performance area, customers have the choice of more top end Audis than possibly any other Audi centre in the UK. Extensively refurbished in Spring 2011, it is little wonder that Glasgow Audi is quite often considered the ultimate Vorsprung durch Technik experience. 6 Edinburgh Audi Our superb centre in the west of the city offers an unrivalled Audi Approved service that covers Edinburgh, the Lothians, Borders and Fife. Opened for business in 2009, Edinburgh Audi is the first terminal design site opened by Audi outwith Munich. A covered 30 car showroom, large workshop, extensive customer parking, highly trained personnel and proximity to the city bypass means that for customers seeking superior customer care and technical standards, Audi’s east coast specialists are hard to beat. 7 Stirling Audi Servicing every Audi need in the very heart of Scotland, Stirling Audi is within easy access of all major Scottish motorways. Located close to the vibrant city centre, we guarantee our customers will experience the highest possible Audi standards, as standard, and as most of our staff are local Stirling men and women, we are very much in touch with the local community. Stirling Audi enjoys an enviable record for customer satisfaction confirmed by ongoing research conducted by Audi UK and currently, Stirling Audi one of Audi’s top five centres for customer service in the United Kingdom. 8 Ayr Audi The newest addition to The Lomond Audi Group, Ayr Audi is the only authorised Audi centre in Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway for new car sales, used car sales and after sales. Prominently located in a brand new and quite superb facility at Whitletts roundabout, Ayr Audi is committed to delivering quality sales and service to the local motoring public. This commitment was recognised in 2009 when the centre received the prestigious Audi Q Power award, presented by Audi to the No. 1 centre in the UK. 9 After sales and servicing We believe that your relationship with us shouldn't end when you buy your new or used Audi. That is why our Service Promise is there to ensure that you receive excellent care and attention throughout your ownership experience. We realise you expect exceptional service when you bring your car to a Lomond Audi Group centre but we are proud to say that the bill may seem somewhat unexceptional. Our competitive prices mean that when it’s time to pay, the only surprise you’ll receive is a pleasant one. Nowadays, many customers choose to take out a service plan when they purchase their car as this is a convenient way to spread the cost of maintenance. For customers with older cars, our Club Class programme provides free MOT tests, MOT insurance cover plus courtesy car availability. Full details are available from your nearest centre. Ensuring your Audi keeps performing to its highest capabilities is important to us, which is why we always strive to offer the highest levels of service and affordability as regular servicing helps maintain the smooth running and the resale value of your Audi. Each one of our centres offer an unrivalled choice of Audi Approved parts and accessories including an extensive range of tyres and you will always find a wide choice of Audi clothing and gifts available for purchase. The Lomond Audi Group employs more than 50 dedicated and highly skilled Audi technicians who each have many years of experience servicing and maintaining the complete Audi range. They are supported by the latest technology and the most up to date vehicle diagnostic techniques. We’re even able to link individual engine management systems directly to the factory in Germany to have diagnostic systems analysed. So when it comes to after sales and servicing, there is no doubt that our centres are well placed to fully deliver the Audi’s promise of Vorsprung durch Technik. 10 Customer contact centre All service and aftersales enquiries are managed efficiently by our call centre, the first point of contact for many of our customers. Manned by technically knowledgeable personnel, all of whom have received detailed technical and diagnostic training, the call centre organises all service and repair reservations, the arrangement of alternative transport solutions and a hundred and one other tasks. And when it comes to convenience, the call centre will arrange your servicing at our facility nearest to you. 11 Corporate sales The Lomond Audi Group has played a major role in Audi’s UK fleet and corporate sales success. Over the years, we have expanded this aspect of our business and today our highly trained and extremely professional team services corporate businesses large and small. Many of the country’s biggest names rely on us for their fleet requirements and we find that they have a strong appreciation for our service levels, for our attention to detail and our ability to deliver exactly what they require, when they require it. It is our normal practice to allocate individual account managers to handle corporate customers business. The account manager has responsibility for all aspects of the account including face to face meetings on a quarterly basis, providing updates and information on all new Audi products, acting as the direct point of contact, evaluating individual client’s fleet needs and requirements, advising on funding methods for companies and committed to supplying sound advice regarding service support for fleet operations, regardless of size. 12 Group logistics Logistically better Our corporate sales department’s final check team have a three tier check in place to ensure that all vehicles are delivered to the highest standard with any issues resolved prior to delivery. A highly skilled team valet all cars an hour before they are due to be delivered, ensuring vehicles arrive in the standard expected from a premium manufacturer. All local deliveries are handled by our own delivery team and arrive on covered transport. All other UK deliveries are undertaken by a logistics company with whom we have worked for the last ten years. Their drivers are trained by us to ensure they deliver the full Audi experience when handing over a new vehicle. 13 Accident repair centre Major repairs Authorised by Audi. Approved by Audi. Our very own state-of-the-art Accident Repair Centre, should you ever be unfortunate enough to require it, is all you’ll ever need in the event of an accident. And with the accolade of being Audi’s only authorised R8 and aluminium structural repair centre in Scotland, there is not a better facility to get your Audi back on the road safely and quickly. Smart repair How annoying is a small scratch, a dent or a ding on your car? It's bad enough when you do it yourself, it's even worse if someone else does it. But if it does happen, you can relax. We now offer a quick, easy and inexpensive solution to repair minor damage without the cost of removing panels or the hassle of having your car out of action for days. Simply book your car in at our Small Area Repair Technique (SMART) facility and they'll sort out everything from a damaged or chipped windscreen to a torn seat, a cracked bumper to a dented wing. They’ll return your Audi as good as new, in next to no time AND with no need to claim on insurance, no impact on your no claims bonus and no effect on your insurance premium. Refurbishing alloy wheels An area that many motorists overlook is the condition of their alloy wheels. Scuffed or damaged alloys detract from the appearance of a car and will adversely affect its value. We can professionally refurbish and restore damaged and chipped alloy wheels to being literally as good as new. And that’s not all, we can change the colour or finish of alloys including gloss and matt finishes, in almost any colour. Work can be completed within a day but the benefits will last for much, much longer. 14 Trade Parts Service Centres TPS Parts is the trade parts division of The Lomond Audi Group and we operate three TPS sites, two in Glasgow and one in Edinburgh. TPS was set up by Volkswagen Group in 2007 to remove the trade parts element from Audi centres to allow them to concentrate on providing excellent service to aftersales customers and also retail customers wishing to purchase parts or accessories. The TPS sites carry a much larger range of parts than would normally be stocked at an Audi centre (circa 5,000 lines) meaning that Audi centres can obtain non stocked items the same day, greatly reducing the length of time a car may be off the road. Each of our TPS sites runs a fleet of vans providing up to three deliveries a day both to Audi centres and the independent motor trade. Our TPS Centres in Glasgow cover the city, Renfrewshire, Dunbartonshire and Ayrshire while Edinburgh TPS covers the Lothians the Borders, Stirling, Falkirk and Fife. 15 Our partners In global terms Audi is recognised not just as a premium brand, but one that is inherently linked with sport. Audi is a pacesetter of advanced technology which is why Audi adopts a positive commitment to sponsorship. And The Lomond Audi Group shares that commitment. We are the official car sponsors of Celtic and Rangers and each club’s players, management team and back room personnel drive Audi. Of course football is only one of our sporting passions, we have many more including golf and rugby. Not only do The Lomond Audi Group sponsor top Scottish golfers Stephen Gallacher and Catriona Matthew, we are also the official car sponsor for the Ladies Scottish Open at Archerfield. In rugby Edinburgh Audi is the main sponsor of the highly successful Melrose Rugby Club. 14 Celtic Football Club Rangers Football Club Melrose Rugby Club Catriona Matthew Stephen Gallacher 15 Driven by the future The future couldn’t be brighter for the Lomond Audi Group and despite our success to date, we have no intention of resting on our laurels. From the A1 through to the R8, the Audi range is unsurpassed. Audi is not just one of the world’s most desirable premium brands, it is also a manufacturer of exquisite cars - beautiful, sophisticated machines that embody technological perfection. Audi’s success is built on their core values of creativity, commitment and enthusiasm. By keeping their customers’ desires at the heart of everything they do.
