About Our Keynote Speaker . . . and Keynote Sessions Dr. Paul Anderson is medical director of Anderson Medical Specialty Associates, a clinic focusing on the care of patients with cancer and chronic diseases. His former positions include professor of Pharmacology and Clinical Medicine at Bastyr University and Chief of IV Services for Bastyr instructing classes at naturopathic medical schools in the early 1990s. Dr. Anderson is a graduate of NCNM and began CME courses for most of the US and Canadian ND programs including BU, NCNM, Boucher Institute, UB, SCNM and CCNM. He also is a founding board member of the Academy of Parenteral Therapies specialty group and an instructor/author for the IIVNTP IV Therapy training group. Saturday, September 20, 2014 Session 1: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. (2 Pharm CE) Genomics and Common Psychiatric Presentations This session will focus on SNP analysis, assessment and treatment, and include a review of commonly prescribed medications and naturopathic considerations. Session 2: 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. (2 credits; Pharm CE TBD) Endocrine Effects on Health—Beyond the Basics The second session will include a survey of endocrine presentations and therapies beyond standard primary care interventions. The role of neurosteroids in brain function and their interaction with reproductive hormones, thyroid disrupters including thyroid resistance syndrome and hypo-conversion will be reviewed. Questions?
