Remember the median is the middle number when the numbers are written in order. When there are two middle numbers, the median is the mean of the two middle numbers. The mean is the average of a set of data. The mean is found by finding the sum of the data and then dividing the sum by the number of data. The mode is the number that is listed most often in a set of data. Sometimes there is no mode. Sometimes there is more than one mode. An outlier is a number that is much lower or much higher than the rest of the data set. It is either much lower or much higher than the other numbers.
