make & do activity kit Knight’s sword 1 Glue printouts of the blades and the hilts to white A4 card. Cut them out. If you’re using silver card to make the blades you can use our blades as a pattern. 2 Apply glue to the backs of both blades and stick them together. 3 Place 1 sword handle face down onto the table. Spread glue over the back. Place the blunt end of the blade onto it so that the top meets the bottom of the gold bar, as shown. Spread glue on the back of the second sword handle and place it on top so that the blade is now sandwiched inside the 2 halves of the handle. Allow to dry. Remember that even though your sword is cardboard it can still hurt to be hit with it so PLAY GENTLY.
