How to Submit an HPT Datalog Forward
How to Submit an HPT Datalog Forward It is critical to supply us with all of the information we need to properly tune your vehicle. Please consider that if your log does not have the required items we may miss an important part of your tune. This how-to will get your scanner config file set up correctly. You can download this configuration file from http://www.pcmofnc.com/install/PCMofNC HPtuners Scanner Config.cfg. You will still need to set up your wideband if you are equipped with one. If you have downloaded our ready made configuration file you can jump to after step 6. Adding Necessary PIDs 1. Open HP Tuners Scanner. 2. Open the table display - See Red Arrow 3. Right Click any empty slot in the table window. See Blue Arrow 4. Add the following available PIDS PID List EngineIdleIdle Adapt STIT - Gen III Vehicles only LTIT Gear/AC off - Gen III Vehicles only AirflowDynamic Airflow Mass Air Flow (Hz) RetardBurst Knock Retard Knock Learn Factor Fuel SystemAir Fuel Ratio Commanded (Hi Res or Low Res, does not matter) Commanded EQ Ratio Fuel Pressure Fuel Pressure SAE User DefinedAir Fuel Ratio Error 5. Order does not matter Setup Wide Band AFR - Optional but Highly Recommended If you have a Wideband installed in your vehicle we can import the readings directly into the log. This is invaluable for tuning. A wideband O2 sensor reports very accurately your Air/Fuel Mixture. The process is much the same as the steps above. We have found the autometer brand gauges to be the most accurate with the best instrumentation amplifier. Both digital gauges and analog versions work very well. It however is not in the list. See step 10 for custom wideband setup. Physically connecting the wideband to your interface is covered very well in the HPTuners help file.
