West Drayton is the nearest mainline rail station, and is
approximately 2km away from the hospital. Take the
connecting bus services U1, U3 or U5 directly to the hospital.

serve this station. For more information on train journeys call

www.nationalrail.co.uk.

If you are planning to take a bicycle onto the train, please
check the train operator’s cycle carrying policy before
travelling.
Foot
Hillingdon Hospital can be accessed by pedestrians from all
entrances. Footpaths are predominantly wide, well lit and in
good condition, contributing to a safe and welcoming walking
environment.

Walking: to the site, particularly when visiting patients, is
a great activity to work exercise into your routine - at least
30 minutes of activity per day is recommended.
Motorbike – We welcome responsibly-driven motorcycles
and are in the process of creating dedicated spaces within the
car park with fixed stands. Please see www.thh.nhs.uk/Travel
for more details. There is free parking for motorcycles onsite.
Cycling: is an active, healthy, sustainable mode of
transport. It helps you to keep fit, relieve stressful anxieties and get around quickly. Hillingdon Council offers free cycle
lessons for adults. If you are interested in signing up, please
call the council’s Road Safety Team on 01895 556336 or
email roadsafety@hillingdon.gov.uk.

Car
Demand for parking constantly exceeds supply with queues
from car parks spilling over onto Pield Heath Road. Roads
anywhere within 2 miles of Hillingdon Hospital are now dedicated
to residential only parking.
Travelling via the M4, exit at junction 4 towards Stockley Park
and Uxbridge on the A408. The hospital is located on
Pield Heath Road.
Travelling from Uxbridge Town Centre, take the A4020
(Hillingdon Hill), exiting at Kingston Lane, turning left onto
Pield Heath Road. The hospital is on the right hand side.
Car parking areas are well-signed. Barrier car parks are
accessed via Pield Heath Road at entrances A and B with
Pay-on-Foot machines located outside the Main Entrance,
Outpatients and Maternity. Pay and Display parking operates in
all other areas. There are also dedicated drop off spaces at
entrances A and B.
Blue Badge – There are designated free disabled parking bays
available in all areas. Within the barrier car parks display your
Parking Clock. Before returning to your car, present your Blue
Badge to have your exit ticket validated at Reception (main
entrance) or the Parking Office (opposite A&E). Outside office
hours, contact the Security Team at the Outpatients Entrance.
In all other areas you should display your Blue Badge and clock.
All drivers must park in marked bays. Please do not leave
valuables in your vehicle.

Main Entrance. Please see the website for more details on the
upgraded facilities we will be providing.

Bike
There is a strategic off-road London cycle route approximately
1km to the south east on West Drayton Road, and a LCC
advisory cycle route approximately 1km to the north east on
Uxbridge Road away from Hillingdon Hospital. Cycle routes
are shown in lilac on the map overleaf.
Bus stops near the hospital are sheltered, with timetables or
live travel information available.
Visitors wishing to reach Hillingdon Hospital by Tube will need
to take a connecting bus to the hospital. For convenience it is
easier to travel via Uxbridge station because of the higher
frequency of connecting bus services.

V
In a critical emergency you should contact the Parking Office on
the A&E ramp for assistance.
Public Transport: We are well-served by very frequent bus
services from around the borough. All routes to the hospital
have low-floor wheelchair accessible buses, and there are
good connections from several tube and mainline rail
services.
Car share: If you must travel in a motor vehicle, please be
considerate to pedestrians and cyclists. You might find it
possible to car share, splitting the cost (not to mention
environmental impacts) with someone on a similar journey take a look at https://london.liftshare.com/ to see if
someone is coming the same way as you - particularly if
you come in frequently. Why not offer them a lift, or take a
lift yourself!
Most importantly whichever way you choose to travel,
please have respect for other road users, and keep each
other safe.
Share the road - and we’ll all get along better.
