And the second thing is to ensure that the workspace, in terms of the overall building, is located in a sector that is not harming you. The most important thing is the entrance into the office space. It should face a direction that is good for you. So if you are a West group person, it should face a West Group direction. If you are an East Group person, you should face an East group direction. The facing direction of the entrance is very important because you are walking in and out the entrance every day. A solid door is better than a glass door. Also, when you enter the office, if there is a small little foyer area, this would be very good, as this becomes your Bright Hall. ©LILLIAN TOO MANDALA STUDY GUIDE MODULE 22 - Page 2 LILLIAN TOO’S MANDALA The choice of colours and colour combination affects the feng shui of a company because all its correspondence and publicity materials will display these colours. When the CEO enjoys good feng shui, the whole company benefits. The following are guidelines for ensuring good feng shui for the Chief Executive: • The CEO’s office should be situated deep inside the building • It should be innermost corner diagonal to the entrance door. • The location should ideally correspond to one of the CEO’s lucky direction based on the Kua number. For business, best is the Sheng Chi direction. • The CEO should never sit with his or her back to the door or window. This brings danger of backstabbers and other dishonourable people. Always sit facing the entrance. • Do not sit directly under an exposed overhead beam. Move the desk to another position if this is the case. • Do not sit with the sharp edge of any pillar or corner hitting you. Place a plant to block and camouflage such corners. • Do not sit against a wall that has a lavatory on the other side. • Do not allow the front part of your desk to become cluttered with files or paperwork. • You shouldn’t be sitting in a space where above you there’s a toilet. You should also not sit with your back to a big window – this symbolizes lack of support. • A picture of a solid mountain behind where the CEO sits creates fabulous support luck for him or her. The best is a picture of a mountain of gold. • Opt for as big a desk as you can get. Large desks attract large opportunities and important responsibilities. • The CEO should try and sit facing his or her sheng chi direction while working. A plant should be placed at the sheng chi direction to activate the energy. • A water feature placed nearby will bring good wealth luck. The best is a 6 tier waterfall. The number 6 is the number of heaven. This will attract good fortune luck to the company. • Use symbolism. The language of symbols is incredibly powerful. The CEO should have some good luck symbols beside him or her such as a sailing ship filled with golden ingots. If the ship appears to be sailing in from the sheng chi direction, it will bring even greater success and increased income. ©LILLIAN TOO MANDALA STUDY GUIDE MODULE 22 - Page 4 LILLIAN TOO’S MANDALA Multiple Choice Questions: 1) a. b. c.
