I am really excited after the 6 weeks of Lent Conversations. The people who participated really enjoyed it and found the discussions very helpful and life-giving. We took a survey after the 6 weeks and the results will be given to you, once we have processed the information. Then it was Holy Week! Thank you, to all who came. I think you will agree with me that it was totally different from previous years. Every evening was different and had its own “flavour”. The different teams worked hard and to the Class meeting groups and small groups who blessed us with good food afterwards... thank you!!! The whole Easter weekend was a blessing from the Friday morning service at MRMC to the Circuit Service in Lamontville ending with late lunch at 16h00. Saturday morning was special and the flowers in remembrance were beautiful. Resurrection Sunday started with the Sunrise service on the beach followed with fellowship at MRMC and sharing in Hot cross buns and tea afterwards. All I can say is “Praise to our Redeeming King Jesus.” I am certainly looking forward to next year and may the witness of those who participated this year, inspire those who have not participate. INTERCESSORY PRAYER A prayer for the South African National and Provincial Elections. Most Gracious and Loving God we honour You as our Creator - the One who has made us in Your own image Forgive us when we choose to go our own way rather than following the way of Christ and help us, through your Holy Spirit, to discern what is right and honourable. During these forthcoming elections we, the citizens of South Africa, are privileged to choose who should lead us – help us to vote wisely. O God, make your face shine on us. We pray for all electoral officials, that they will remain impartial and exercise their responsibilities with efficiency whilst instilling a sense of peace and calm wherever they work. Hear our prayers for the political leaders of this land. May they have the interests of the people at heart and may they strive to uphold the South African Constitution at all times. We pray that integrity and morality will become values that our leaders will strive to maintain during their terms of office. O Christ, transform our lives. We pray that justice and compassion be upheld by all and that new levels of tolerance and acceptance of diversity will become evident among the people of South Africa. O Holy Spirit, empower us. AMEN. UMkhuleko WoKhetho lweZifundazwe nolukaZwelonke Nkulunkulu onothando nozwelo siyakukhonza njengoMdali - wena osenzile ngomfanekiso wakho.
