Key Features
Introduction
• Perform quantitation and sample preparation in the same
workflow
Agilent AssayMAP is a quantitative, high-throughput sample
preparation technology which uses disposable chromatography
cartridges on the Bravo Platform for AssayMAP. AssayMAP
technology relies on a modified 96-channel, microplatecompatible liquid handler equipped with precision flow syringes
that connect to the chromatography cartridges through a
special probe. The AssayMAP Bravo head provides precise,
positive-displacement flow control through the cartridges
in either direction to well under 1 µL/min. The cartridges
incorporate a 5 µL packed bed that can accommodate virtually
any polymer, silica, or gel-based resin with particle diameters
from 15 to 100 µm. Included are the specifications for four
prepacked AssayMAP cartridges.
• Reduce errors and increase
walkaway time with reliable,
automated processess
• Increase throughput using
existing chemistry or customized
workflows
AssayMAP Cartridge Release Criteria
Each batch of resin slurry that serves as the packing material for multiple cartridge racks is packed into cartridges
and representative cartridges per batch are functionally tested for dynamic binding. Every AssayMAP cartridge is
pressure/flow tested and visually inspected. The flow test measures the pressure drop across the cartridge at a
specified flow rate. Visual inspection verifies correct assembly and complete filling of the bed volume.
AssayMAP Cartridge Reuse
Performance is guaranteed when cartridges are used on the same day they are equilibrated. Do not allow hydrated
cartridges to dry out. Keep hydrated cartridges in a cartridge rack for same-day storage off the deck by stacking
the rack on a receiver plate containing 200 µL equilibration buffer per well, covering with a rack lid, and placing the
assembly in a sealed bag. We do not guarantee performance of stored cartridges following equilibration.
