One of our board members wanted to share these donation request letters she has
been using. She found them very effective when sent from individual fundraising
webpages. This mother manages each child’s webpage. She logged-in as one of the
children and sent the appropriate message from that child’s fundraising portal. She
also sent a message from her own webpage. She was so surprised at the response
from the children’s’ “ask”! People can donate directly to that child and it was
impactful. Please feel free to use and change as needed. The highlighted areas
would need to be changed.

research into the causes of Spina Bifida.

Hi!
You may know me as the girl you see in the hallways and classrooms at school.
Indicate how people may know you You may not know that I have Spina Bifida. I
was born with a hole in my spine, and because of that, it's harder for me to do some
things that come easily for other people.
I am excited to be participating in the Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida on May 11, 2013.
I'm writing to ask for your support by donating to my walk. The proceeds go to the
Spina Bifida Association of Indiana and are used to help people like me go to camp,
pay for braces like mine and prevent babies from being born with SB.

have a sister/brother named __________ who has Spina Bifida. That means she/he was
born with a hole in the spine. Because of that she/he has a harder time doing certain
things than I do.
