PROGRAM FOR MEASUREMENT SESSIONS 7-­‐11TH OCTOBER 2014 Session Co-­‐ordinators: Nandini Nagarajan, K.Chandrashakar Rao There are 41 experienced/expert observers and 13 novice/trainee observers. The program provides 90min slot for each expert observer for DI Flux observations. Baseline reductions will be computed at the end of each session. PPM calibration will tested using frequency injection on the sensor to test the time base and gyromagnetic ratio . All observers are welcome to attend all days of the program. Transport to CPL will be arranged from pick up points near hotel clusters. Training sessions will be conducted for novice/trainee observers along with lectures on observatory practice. Low-­‐latitude azimuth determination by solar observations as well as GPS will be demonstrated. There are a total of 9 pillars at CPL, of which 2-­‐3 may be used for experimental instruments and variometers (the far pillars). 5 pillars are free for observers. It is proposed to have 15 slots per day, as per the table below.
