Mercedes-Benz Kuwait surfs social media wave
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: MercedesBenz Kuwait is experiencing double
digit growth across its active social
media channels, with Facebook and
Instagram seeing increases in total followers of 51% and 30% respectively,
since the month of June this year.
Abdul Rahman Albisher & Zaid
Alkazemi Co, the authorised General
Distributor of Mercedes-Benz in
Kuwait, follows a well-established
digital strategy and believes the social
networking tools are responsible for
helping reach customers.
With numbers climbing to 59,000
Facebook followers and 37,800
Instagram followers since joining in
2012, Mercedes-Benz has fast become
one of the most followed automotive
brands in Kuwait - a fact that is heavily influencing the shift of social media
from a ‘buzzword’ to common practice within the organisation.

Such significant growth may be
linked to high disposable incomes in
Gulf States, and multiple device ownership of smartphones and tablets by
young and old alike. Social media
an effective means of targeting niche
elements within the broader MercedesBenz community in the country &
region. Mercedes-Benz Kuwait recently launched an Instagram competition
focused exclusively on classic
Mercedes-Benz models. Highly collectible but not always visible, these
classic models were showcased for the
first time by inviting owners in
Kuwait to post a picture of their classic Mercedes-Benz car with the hashtag #MBClassicKWT.

important part of our marketing strategy for a while now, and it is exciting
to see the steady growth in engagement with our customers and general
motoring enthusiasts in our community. Our social media platforms are
highly active, and with our dedicated
