Students can measure the consumption’s characteristics of electrical connections
(instantaneous power in W, consumed energy in J) and calculate the mass
of carbon dioxide released in g.
Carbon dioxide emissions vary from one country to another depending on the
mode of electricity production (carbon, fuel oil, nuclear, hydraulic, wind or
photovoltaic energy…). The user can program this variable in the device and
calculate the mass of CO2.
The apparatus can display simultaneously the equivalent mass of CO2 released
and the power or the consumed energy.
