Tourist complex in Korea.
Mount Halla
Mount Halla is the mountain of one of the three gods and
is a notable mountain. It stands at the center of Jeju Island,
spreading east and west. The east face is steep, the north side
is gentle, and the east and west form a flat, wide highland.
Mount Halla is a dormant volcano created by volcanic
activities during the quaternary period of the Cenozoic era. It
is primarily covered with basalt. On its top is a crater Baeknok
Lake. This mountain is a home to alpine plants and houses as
many as 1,800 species of flora. It also boasts luxuriant natural
forests and vast grasslands.
Hyeopjae Beach
Hyeopjae Beach is one of the popular places that many
people visit in summer. The water is relatively shallow, but you
should be careful not to float away into the deep ocean as
there are many spots that are deeper. The white sand beach
has extra fine sand mixed with shells that glitters with silver,
and the emerald-colored water is crystal clear. At night with
a bright moon, you won’t need the help of street lights to be
in a romantic mood. Hyeopjae Beach, is where the summer
romance that people dream of lies.

Cheonjiyeon Falls
A quiet trail leads the way to Cheonjiyeon Falls. The path
through the thick forest and stepping stones across the
stream make this a popular date route for young lovers and
newlyweds. The waterfall formed in a valley of hardened
lava and measures 22 meters high and 20 m deep. It is called
Cheonjiyeon as it is a pond made by the contact of the sky
and land. Cheonjiyeon became a scenic spot a long time
ago, with its chiseled rock cliffs and rare subtropical trees. The
valley near the waterfall is home to Elaeocarpus sylvestris var.
ellipticus, which is a Natural Monument, Psilotum nudum,
Castanopsis cuspidata var. sieboldii, Xylosma congestum,
camellias and other subtropical trees. This waterfall is also
home to the giant mottled eel, another National Monument.
Giant mottled eels have a different color and spinal marrow
from other eels, and some grow longer than 2 m and heavier
than 20 kg. At night times, visitors can enjoy a great view of
the lighted waterfall and use the convenience facilities nearby.
There is a shellfish fossil site near the ferry dock.
* Beautiful Jeju Island is included in the UNESCO list of Patrimonies of the Humankind.
All ordinary passport holders can stay visa-free 30 days in Jeju Island.
