Transportation Registration Fees Airport: O’Hare International Airport (ORD): Plan on approximately 30-60 minutes in travel time from ORD to the hotel depending on arrival time. The registration fee for NCSBN members is $750 USD per person. The symposium is for nurse regulators only. It is not open to the public. NCSBN members are staff or board members of state boards of nursing and associate members. Midway International Airport (MDW): Plan on approximately 40-70 minutes in travel time from MDW to the hotel depending on arrival time Public Transportation The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is a fast and convenient way to travel to and from the airport, avoiding traffic. A one-trip fare is $5 USD. The Chicago Area Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) provides information for Metra and other regional train and bus transportation. Shuttle Go Airport Express shuttle service is available at ORD and MDW. From ORD, one-way fare is $29; from MDW, oneway fare is $24. Reservations can be made online; a 10% discount is offered on shared ride shuttle services. You may also call 888.284.3826 and mention the code NCSBN to the reservations agent to receive the discount. Taxi Taxicabs are available on a first-come, first-served basis from the lower level curb front of all terminals. Shared ride service is available. There are no flat rates because all taxicabs run on meters. Expect to spend approximately $40 to $50 USD and about an hour travel time for a taxicab ride from ORD to downtown Chicago; and $30 to $35 USD and 40 minutes for a taxicab ride from MDW to downtown Chicago.
