Event guide Egmont Open 2014 10-12 October 2014 Welcome We are really happy to host the first Egmont Open ever. Our aim is to create a fun and competitive tournament for teams within driving range to Egmont and Denmark. The location is carefully pick, since it’s very wheelchair friendly and has a great atmosphere at the Folk School of Egmont. We hope one of the legacies will be a good bond and friendship among the participating teams. Welcome to all the teams, officials and volunteers. Bliver de gjort rent fra dag til dag?? The holiday homes are 100 m2 and there can sleep 6-8 persons. There are 2 double rooms, 2-4 beds in living room and 2 bathrooms. Everything is designed to suit the needs of people with disabilities. One of the double rooms also has a man lift, so if you bring your own sling, you can use it. All referees will be accommodated with there team if possible. Cleaning of the holiday homes There will be no day-to-day cleaning, so please keep the cabin clean your self, but there is final cleaning included. Checking out Please make sure to be out of the cabin on Sunday the 12th of October before 10 o’clock. Before leaving the cabin take all trash out and don’t leave anything on the floor. If the cabin is not left in proper condition, this might result in a fine. Classification By request of Malmo we are providing national classifiers from Denmark, so that 5 Malmo players can be classified during the tournament. Egmont Folk School Villavej 25, Hou 8300 Odder The floor surface in the venue is of hard rubber material. DO NOT ENTER THE VENUE WITH WET WHEELS, PLEASE DRY THEM BEFORE ENTERING. HAVE NOGLE HÅNDKLÆDER TILGÆNGELIGT Competetion Schedule We have prioritized to give each team as many games as possible. Plan team Table Officials Each team is obligated to provide one person as table official for 3 games. It will not be any of the teams own game. Plan team Table Officials Rules We will play by the rules of IWRF. However there will be NO overtime if a game ends tie. This is made in order to keep schedule and we hope for your understanding. Victory gives 3 point and 1 point for each team in case of tie. TOILETS There are many wheelchair friendly toilets at Egmont Folk School, BUT PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU USE THE TRASH BINS AND DON’T LEAVE GARBAGE BEHIND YOU. We are all only guests and therefore please respect this. Food service All meals will be served at Egmont Folk School and there will be fruit available all weekend. We have tried to make a food schedule where everybody have the option of eating before playing or afterwards. We hope that this can work for everybody. Skære kaffe, the og kage væk!?!? Breakfast It will be served in the common hall Breakfast Saturday 8.30-12.00 Breakfast Sunday 9.30-12.00, start tidspunkt skal være tidligere(kan vi det??) Første kamp kl 9 Lunch Saturday 13.30-15.30, it will be served on tables in the venue Sunday 16.00-17.00: Possible to make Sandwich. Also to bring along the home travel. Tidligere!?!? Dinner It will be served in the common hall Friday 18.30-20.30 Saturday 18.00-20.00 Water You can drink the water from the tap, so please bring your own drinking bottle. Transportation We won’t organize transportation to and from airport, cause it would be too expensive. Ceremonies There will be a medal ceremony and we will fit it in before the winning team is leaving on Sunday the 12th of October 2014. Water Park It’s a unique opportunity to swim and have fun in a water park, which is designed for people with disabilities. So remember to bring swimsuits and don’t miss the chance.
