Invitation of CBP’s Event Seminar “Managing Your Day-to-Day Business in China First-hand Experiences of a Swiss SME & Negotiating in China” (November 27, 2014) The China Business Platform is teaming up with Wizlynx Group and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) to bring you a new seminar on doing business in China. The seminar will focus on first-hand experiences of a Swiss SME doing business in China. Ms. Sharon Luo of Wizlynx China will talk about topics such as staffing, labor contracts, legal issues, finance & accounting, corporate compliance, etc. Her presentation will be followed by a discussion on negotiating in China between Prof. Michael Jeive from FHNW and Monika Naef, Certified Global Negotiator and partner at the law firm Dufour Advokatur Notariat. We will be joined by Thomas Oertli, CEO of Wizlynx Group and Sharon Luo, Director of Finance & Governance of Wizlynx China. http://wizlynx.com Prof. Michael Jeive lectures in International Strategic Negotiations and International Political Economy at the FHNW School of Business. He has a strong interest in China and South East Asia. Since 2008, Michael has also served as visiting lecturer in International Business Issues at Lanzhou University, the Hogeschool Utrecht, Universidad de León and the Banking University Ho Chi Minh City. Beyond his teaching and research, Michael's recent consultancy and training clients include the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), FIFA, UBS, Helvetia Insurance and the Canton of the City of Basel. www.fhnw.ch Monika Naef is a Certified Global Negotiator (CGN-HSG) and partner in the law firm Dufour Advokatur Notariat. Formerly, she headed the legal services of a multinational company where she was involved in a number of negotiations in China, mainly related to joint ventures. She has also counseled Chinese clients willing to set foot in Switzerland. Apart from her business interest in China, she has family ties to Hong Kong and experience in living in different cultures.
