Choir Festival
2014 Intro to Hockey
Open to all Girls & Boys Pre-K to 3rd grade
that are new to hockey. Camp includes six on
ice session, jersey, & stick for each skater.

“Come Try Hockey for Free” Day
Come experience ice hockey for the first time
and learn the basics of the sport in a fun, safe
environment. The “Try Hockey for Free” clinic is
November 8th from 7pm to 9pm at the All Seasons
Arena in Mandan. To register for the clinic, please

The first 40 participants registered will receive
a free goodie bag and hockey jersey from USA
Hockey & the NHL. This event is a component
of USA Hockey and the NHL’s collaboration with
the Let’s Move! initiative to help the nation’s youth
lead healthier, more active lives through hockey.

Do you love to sing? CDCC
is offering a one day choir festival open to all 6th
graders. “Music Needs U” 6th Grade Choir Festival
will take place on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9am to
4pm at Simle Middle School and is directed by Jim
McMahon. Participants will have the chance to
rehearse and perform with CDCC’s middle school
choir, Kantorei. Pizza will be provided for lunch
and all singers will receive a t-shirt. The festival will
conclude with a free concert for friends and family
at 3:00pm. There is a small $10 fee to participate
and students must register by Oct. 17, by contacting
the choir office at 258-6516 or online at www.

17th ANNUAL RED RIBBON CARNIVAL
October 23, 2014
4:00-8:00 p.m.
There are games, food, & TONS of fun
for the kids while celebrating being DRUG
FREE.
The 17th Annual Red Ribbon Carnival will be held
at the Raymond J. Bohn Armory at 4200 E Divide
Ave. on Thursday, October 23rd. This event is
for all area elementary students & families (*All
parents must be accompanied by a child). The
FIRST 5 game tickets are FREE with a donation
of a non-perishable food item*!
*Non-perishable food items will be donated to
Community Action food pantry.

Let’s Dance Studio presents Frozen!
Friday, December 5
Coming in December, Let’s Dance
Studio will present a special
performance of Disney’s Frozen for
all area schools. Through the art of
dance, our performers will tell the
story of Anna, Kristoff and Sven
as they venture off in a quest to find Anna’s sister,
Elsa, and to save Arendelle from never-ending
winter. Let’s Dance has hundreds of dancers from
the Bismarck/Mandan area performing a variety
of dance styles including jazz, hip hop, ballet, tap,
lyrical and pointe.
Performances will be held at the Belle Mehus with
three show times offered: 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m.,
and 1:00 p.m. The show will last approximately
one hour and an informational presentation will
follow discussing performance etiquette and theatre
vocabulary and history.
Admission is $2/per child with one to two chaperones
admitted free. Our shows fill very quickly, so we
recommend sending in your RSVP as soon as
possible. Also, don’t forget to schedule those

Movie in the Ballpark!
“Million Dollar Arm” will be showing
TONIGHT Friday, October 10th!!
Gates open at 7:00 pm and the movie will begin
around 7:30 pm
This is a FREE event sponsored by Mandan Parks
& Recreation so grab your friends, family, a blanket
and come out to enjoy the Movie!!

Itty Bitty Activities
Itty Bitty Activities introduce basic skills and concepts
to participants ages 3-5 years old. All participants

AUTISM CONNECTION
The NDAutism Connection and the YMCA are
proud to offer Activities and Sports Classes for
children living with disabilities and their siblings,
friends, parents &/or caregivers. We will have
special activities and will split into groups, based
on age and needs of participants. We will meet on
the second Sunday of the month, October-May,
from 5:00-6:00pm, beginning on Sunday, October
12, at the Missouri Valley YMCA in Bismarck.
This is a Free and structured event, therefore, we
will need you to register so we can prepare with
supplies needed.

2014 BRAVES BUNCH BOYS’ BASKETBALL CAMP
Description: The Braves’ Bunch is a unique program which offers young boys the opportunity to be taught the game of
basketball by the Braves’ coaching staff and the varsity boys’ basketball team.
Cost: $25.00 All participants will receive a Braves’ Bunch t-shirt. (Reduced/Waiver plans are available for lower-income
families – contact Coach Schafer for details.)

On November 29th, 2014 we will have the Braves Bunch Camp starting at 1:00 pm (see schedule below). Starting in
the afternoon the boys’ basketball program in conjunction with the Boys’ Basketball Club will be hosting Hoops – NMore at Mandan Middle School. Hoops – N – More provides the public with the opportunity to see the Mandan Braves
Boys’ Basketball teams scrimmage as they prepare for the upcoming season. Throughout the afternoon and evening the
Boys’ Basketball Club will be providing prizes, snacks, and hot dogs to all parents, spectators and participants. So come
and join us in tipping-off the season with Hoops – N – More.
All 7th and 8th grade basketball players planning to participate this winter are welcome to play.
