●Teams of 4 or 5
●18 minutes
●20 sticks of spaghetti
●1 yd of masking tape
●1 yd of string
●1 marshmallow
The Rules
The winning team is the one that has the tallest freestanding
structure measured from the floor (or top of desk) to the top of
the marshmallow.
The entire marshmallow needs to be on top of the structure.
The team can use as many or as few of the 20 spaghetti sticks,
as much or as little of the string or tape. Teams are free to break
the spaghetti, cut up the tape and string to create new structures.
Teams cannot hold on to the structure when time runs out.
Those touching or supporting the structure at the end of the
exercise will be disqualified.

Taking it to the next level
Then I gave them the chance to do it again with one change.
They could either have 8 mini-marshmallows
They could use thicker noodles (fettuccine).
They could have duck tape instead of masking
They could use string instead of yarn.
