ABOUT THIS CONFERENCE
The National Health Science Curriculum Conference is an
opportunity for educators to showcase their programs, innovative
teaching strategies and best practices and to look to the future by
experiencing a wide array of learning opportunities. Join educators
from around the country as they come together to form networks
and build collaboration to enhance health science education
programming. The conference will open at 8 AM on Wednesday,
October 15, 2014, and end at Noon on Friday, October 17. This is an
excellent conference for health science educators and administrators.

BEN PINEDA
Wednesday, October 15, 2014 – 8AM
“Life is busy and life is good.” Ben Pineda has taught in all levels of secondary education for
the past 27 years. Ben has worked closely with faculty and students in the K-12 program
level, as well as, mentoring senior-year teacher education candidates and facilitating
seminars for mentor teachers. Ben is working on this third screenplay, pursuing a storytelling
project at the local and national levels, while providing organizational tutoring for students
and writing curriculum for literacy-based programs.
Dr. Corrine Hosington
Thursday, October 16, 2014 – 8AM
Corrine Hosington is a full-time professor of Information Systems Technology at Central
Virginia Community College in Lynchburg, VA. She has over 25 years of teaching experience.
Professor Hoisington is the recipient of the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional in
Computer Programming. Corrine speaks to college & university professor and K-12 teachers
in over 50 cities, and for such customers as the Microsoft Corporation, and Cengage Learning.
Julie Ross
Friday, October 17, 2014 – 8AM
Julie has been an educator for 30 years. She has worked with both special needs and general
education students from preschool through college. Her passion for understanding the
educational implications and applications of brain research has developed over the past
dozen-plus years and has let to numerous professional development presentations for both
school districts and community organizations across the state. Her dynamic programs have
also resulted in her sharing one of her favorite nicknames, “The Brain Lady.”

Registration after October 10, 2014 will be considered “ONSITE” registration at $550.

Presenters attending the conference will receive one (1) reduced registration fee of
$450.
REFUND Policy: Refunds requested in writing prior to September 10, 2014, will be
assessed a $75 processing fee. NO REFUNDS after September 10, 2014.
