In order to avoid losing your incentive eligibility and possibly being required to pay for an incentive you have received ("recoupment"), you should check with your serving incentive manager (CTARNG -J1 or CTANG Personnel Flight) prior to accepting the offer for the position. For MDay personnel who are currently receiving incentives to include Bonuses and the Student Loan Repayment Program, the following termination rules apply. Incentive Termination with Recoupment: If you accept an Active Guard Reserve (AGR) position or a Military Technician (Mil Tech) position where membership in the National Guard is a condition of employment and you have not served at least six months of the incentive contract term. Incentive Termination without Recoupment: If you accept an Active Guard Reserve (AGR) position or a Military Technician (Mil Tech) position where membership in the National Guard is a condition of employment and you have served at least six months of the incentive contract term. POSITION DESCRIPTION: This is an AIR FORCE position open to Army and Air Force with the caveat that the applicant be eligible to transfer to the CTANG/Responsible to perform for the duties of NBC Team Chief in the event the NBC Team Chief is not available during a WMD incident/ Participates in the state of the art detection and sample collection technology training per the Survey Team training schedule. Expected to be proficient in NBC antidote administration, safe patient extraction, and crime scene/evidence preservation techniques/ Participates in/monitors WMD CST chain of custody (sample transfer) procedures/ Follows the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Guide when responding to incidents utilizing the appropriate respiratory protection/ Utilizes the established checklist and code words in reporting the detection, Identification and sample collection actions in the Hot Zone/contaminated/ All other duties as assigned. MIMIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must possess of be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance/ selectee will incur a three year service commitment upon completion of The Civil Support Skills Course (CSSC)/ Applicant must be able to participate in a Hazmat Dexterity Test/ Selectee must pass OSHA Physical, and AFFT upon being hired/ authorized grade E-5/ Applicant must be able to receive Anthrax, Smallpox, and other vaccinations/ Acceptance of this Tour will require the individual to remain on a controlled tour of duty without availability of re-assignment outside the WMD-CST for a minimum of three years/ ASVAB score of “62” in the G category is necessary to qualify for ASFC: E39. APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Applications are being accepted for Active Guard/Reserve (AGR) tour/duty under Title 32, Section 502f, United States CT AIR AGR VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT (MVA # 14-089) Code. The initial tour will be for a two (2) year period unless otherwise prohibited by regulation. APPLICATION PACKET: The application packet will consist of, at a minimum, the following documents: 1. One signed original NGB for 34-1, Application for Active Guard/Reserve Position. (Can be found on: http://states.ng.mil/sites/CT/careers). 2. Copy of current physical, AF 422. 3. Statement of all Active Federal Service performed. Approved documents are DD Form 214, DD Form 1506, or Record of Retirement Points. 4. Copy of valid State Civilian Driver's License. 5. Last three EPR’s. 6. Data verification RIP (obtainable at https://www.my.af.mil/afpc2ww3/vmpf/personal info/pages/dutyhistory.asp)/Select “print all”. 7. Completion of Training Certificates. 8. Fitness Assessment results. (Must be current within one year and have a minimum composite score of "good".) 9. 3 Letters of Recommendation. OVERGRADE: Applicants who are over grade to the position which they are applying for must also include a “Letter of Understanding” stating their intent to accept an administrative reduction to the authorized AFSC if selected. Reduction will be made prior to appointment to the position. INITIAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the eligibility standards of ANGI 36-101. Applicants must be medically qualified under provisions of AFI 48-123. Must be assessed into CTANG prior to start of AGR Tour for this position. Qualification Requirements for AGR Status: Must test negative for Human Immune Deficiency Virus (HIV) within 6 months prior to start of tour. Must test negative for Pregnancy within 30 days of start of tour. Must possess or be eligible for the appropriate security clearance required by AOC/AFSC of the full time position. Must have taken the Fitness Assessment within 12 months of application and received a minimum composite fitness score of “Good”. Attach a copy with application. Additional qualifications requirements are outlined in ANGI 36-101, and other applicable instructions, regulations, and laws governing the Active Guard/Reserve Program.
