Amparo POISON KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN READ SAFETY DIRECTIONS BEFORE OPENING OR USING Amparo® SEED TREATMENT INSECTICIDE Active Constituents: 350 g/L IMIDACLOPRID 250 g/L THIODICARB (an anticholinesterase compound) GROUP 1A 4A INSECTICIDE For the control of aphids, brown flea beetle and thrips in cotton as specified in the DIRECTIONS FOR USE table GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Insecticide Resistance Warning For insecticide resistance management, Amparo is a Group 1A and Group 4A insecticide. Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant to Amparo and other Group 1A and Group 4A insecticides may exist through normal genetic variability in any insect population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if Amparo or other Group 1A or Group 4A insecticides are used repeatedly. The effectiveness of Amparo on the resistant individuals could be significantly reduced. Since the occurrence of resistant individuals is difficult to detect prior to use, Bayer CropScience Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Amparo to control resistant insects. Amparo may be subject to specific resistance management strategies. For further information contact your local supplier, Bayer CropScience representative or local agricultural department agronomist. Seed quality Do not treat damaged seed or seed with poor viability. Mixing Flowable formulations will settle over time. Prior to pouring or pumping Amparo from the container, either shake container vigorously or operate pump by-pass to ensure thorough mixing of the contents. When preparing mixtures the following mixing order applies: flowable fungicides, coating agents (e.g. Peridiam®) then Amparo and stir until homogeneous. Add any emulsifiable liquid last whilst slowly stirring. Application Calibrate commercial seed treatment equipment to ensure the seed throughput is mixed with the correct dose of Amparo or seed treatment mixture containing Amparo. Ensure the treatment is applied to the maximum number of seeds to achieve the optimal primary distribution of the treatment. Retain seed in mixing chamber until even coverage (secondary distribution) is achieved. Compatibility Amparo is compatible with a range of seed treatment fungicides and with Peridiam® film coating products. Consult Bayer CropScience for the latest information on compatibilities. As formulations of other manufacturer's products are beyond the control of Bayer CropScience, all mixtures should be tested prior to mixing commercial quantities. PRECAUTIONS Avoid inhalation of dust from treated seed. Do not use treated seed for animal or human consumption. Do not allow treated seed to contaminate grain or other seed intended for animal or human consumption. When treated seed is stored, it should be kept apart from other grain or seeds, and the bags or containers should be clearly marked to show that the contents have been treated with Amparo. DO NOT re-use bags which have held treated seed for any other purpose. PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK DO NOT use treated seed for stock food. Store treated seed away from feed. DO NOT allow treated seed to contaminate seed or grain intended for animal consumption. PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT DO NOT feed treated seed or otherwise expose to wild or domestic birds. Hazardous to fish. DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical, used containers or bags that have held treated seed. Amparo STORAGE AND DISPOSAL Store in the closed, original container in a dry, well ventilated area, as cool as possible. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Empty container by pumping through dry-break connection system. Do not attempt to breach the valve system or the filling point, or contaminate the container with water or other products. Ensure that the coupler, pump, meter and hoses are disconnected, triple rinsed and drained after each use. When empty, or contents no longer required, return the container to the point of purchase. This container remains the property of Bayer CropScience Pty Ltd. Schütz container with camlock valve connection (1000 L) If tamper evident seals are broken prior to initial use then the integrity of the contents cannot be assured. The container must be vented before discharging contents. To empty connect a camlock fitted hose to the bottom valve. Remove top cap when discharging for venting purposes. When the container is empty, close all caps and valves and return the container to the point of purchase. SAFETY DIRECTIONS Harmful if inhaled or swallowed. May irritate the skin.
