Come enjoy our winter schooling shows, we offer a fun and safe learning atmosphere for all
ages. From beginner, walk trot, to more advanced levels of schooling up to 3’6’’. This is a
fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the show ring and have a great time competing at
Cowichan Valley’s top equestrian facility.
We also offer a warm up day that is held on the Saturday before each show. This allows
riders and horses to get familiarized with the facility and get a true show experience. The
arena will be set up for the trainers and riders. Contact Foxstone for a convenient time for
you and your riders.
Points will be collected towards year- end championships. No points will be given for riders
on a lead line or for classes where there are less than two competitors. There will be a
Champions Dinner, in the spring of 2015- date will be announced at the 2nd or 3rd showwhere prizes will be given for Division Champion, Reserve Champion, and prizes up to 4th
place, as well as cash bursaries. Poles Division Champions are not eligible for the cash
bursary or Antares draw.

One entry from each show will be drawn for free entries to the next Foxstone Series Horseshow
(Stabling not included, winner of the last show in the series will receive free entries for that show.
Prizes will not carry over to the following year.)

Reserve Champion Ribbon and Antares Saddle Pad will be awarded to each division winner
3rd Place Antares Prize will be awarded to each division winner

An Antares Halter & Lead and Four $200.00 bursaries will be
drawn from the Champion and Reserve Champion 2’ and up
division. Winners will be awarded funds toward a clinic, horse show, or event during the horse
show season.

Rules and General Information
Entrants under 19 years of age need to have a parent’s or legal guardian’s signature on their entry
form.
Riders must be current Horse Council members to compete at each show.
All riders need to be accompanied with a trainer.
Each horse/rider combination must have their own number for competing in classes.
N/C rounds will be allowed at the end of the division, or where time warrants.
Horse may enter a class more than once with a different rider.
Grass Reins permitted in trot pole classes.
Dress – Neatly with fitted clothing (not loose) or riding jacket. Proper riding boots with heel
(paddock boots and half chaps are acceptable).
Braiding is optional.
All riders MUST wear ASTM approved helmets while mounted.
Limit warm-up time available before each division, if the weather or time warrants.
Points for championships are tabulated – 1st-7, 2nd-5, 3rd-4, 4th-3, 5th-2, 6th-1.
