We express Christian sympathy to the family and friends of Ms. Rachel King at her
passing on October 11 in Cleveland, OH. Rachel was a member of Cascade for over 20
years, worked in the church office, and served with several ministries. She moved back to
Cleveland this past spring; and to Brenda Cole at the passing of her sister-in-law, Mrs.
Carolyn Hill on October 14 in Denver, CO.

SAFE SANCTUARY POLICY
 Unescorted children may not roam the halls during service.
 Children under the age of 12 must be escorted to the restroom.
 Parents must sign in their child for ALL church related activities and programs.
 Volunteers for all children and youth activities must be Safe Sanctuary certified and
have undergone a successful background check.
 All incidents of child abuse will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
 Visitors/vendors to Cascade must sign in at the Church office or Welcome Center.

PURE IN HEART AWARD –NOMINATIONS DEADLINE, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21
In 50 words or less, nominate the person(s) who best exemplify the helping/volunteering
spirit at Cascade. Please email: pureinheart@cascadeumc.org or drop it off in a sealed
envelope at the church office. Note: You cannot nominate yourself. Examples: Servantminded volunteers who help with a task without being asked; Servant –minded volunteers
who donate their time to help the office staff; members who are a light and a joy to work

HALLELUJAH FESTIVAL/TRUNK OR TREAT
Come join the ministries of the Young People’s Division (YPD) for a Christian alternative
to Halloween on Friday, October 31 | 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm | Cascade Parking Lot, featuring
a Trunk or Treat, DJ, Storytime, Praise Dancers, other fun, treats and prizes! This is a family
event sponsored by the YPD and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
