The speed of the ball relative to the throwers has nothing to do with its speed relative to the plane’s frame of reference (the Earth). The inertia on the throwers, the ball, and the plane means that they will continue moving in the same direction, and any internal motion in the plane is relative TO the plane alone. 3.
