Background
China International Copper Conference has been successfully held 11 sessions
since 2001. Shanghai was the first metropolis to witness this great gathering, and so
did the other Chinese cities such as Haikou of Hainan province, Zhangjiagang,
Nanjing of Jiangsu province, Kunming of Yunnan province, Nanchang of Jiangxi
province, Wuhan of Hubei province, Ningbo of Zhejiang province, Jinan of Shandong
province, Xiamen of Fujian province.
China International
Copper
Conference
has
been
co-hosted
by
large
domestic copper enterprises. The Conference has become a wonderful platform of
networking with copper insiders, meeting new people and developing new business.
More than 500 delegates attend this big event every year. China International Copper
Conference attracts eyes from global copper players covering mines, smelters,
fabricators, traders, end users, equipment manufacturers, investors, etc.

2014 is an important year for deepened reform. Copper industry development is
entering the phase of adjustment and transformation from rapid expansion. Traditional
development pattern which depends on mass resources consumption, output growth,
and low labor cost as well as low environmental protection standard, is unsustainable.
The competitiveness between China and the developed countries is getting stronger.
Chinese copper industry is facing more fierce competition. Under such background, a
problem presents itself on how to adjust Chinese economic and financial policies to fit
current development condition and environmental changes. How is Chinese copper
industry to enlarge application market through technological innovation and the
change of development mode? Can new type of urbanization construction drive the
growth of copper consumption? How to avoid investment risk for Chinese enterprises
to develop overseas resources? The problems brought by strong copper price
fluctuations have become the focus in copper industry. Therefore, China Nonferrous
Metals Industry Association (CNIA) will host the “China International Copper
Conference 2014 in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province during October 28-30. Leading
research experts, analyst and producers will join the Forum to share their thoughts
and join in-depth debate on the outlook for copper with attendees.
