REQUIREMENTS:
• An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree/ National Diploma or an equivalent recognized
qualification in the Information Technology or Information Systems environment coupled
with relevant and appropriate experience. Candidates must be computer literate in relevant
word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and email software packages and possess valid
driver’s license (Manual).
KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:
• Conduct research in respect of electronic information utilization. Provide advice, guidance
and ensure access to information. Render functional support to GITO including the provision
of secretariat functions for Information Management meetings and fora. Develop policies and
procedures in respect of departmental electronic information. Manage the resources of the
component.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES :
• Candidate must display integrity, excellent verbal & written communication skills, financial
management delivery innovation, good organizing, planning, problem solving and analytical
skills. Candidates should be client orientated and customer focused. Proficiency in Windows
Software and navigation of the internet and intranet.

Personal Assistant to the General Manager: Operations

REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12, plus a one year Secretarial Diploma/Certificate, or any other equivalent
one year qualification plus at least three years appropriate experience, or a three year National
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree plus at least three years appropriate experience and proven
computer literacy in the following software packages, namely (Wordprocessing, Spreadsheet,
Presentation and email software programmes)
KEY PERFORMANCE:
• Provide a secretarial/receptionist support service to the AREAS General Manager. Render
administrative support services to the General Manager. Coordinate and provide support
and assistance to the General Manager for meetings. Support the General Manager with the
administration of the Chief Directorate’s budget Keep abreast of latest prescripts including relevant
policies, directives and documents which will be of relevance/interest to the General Manager.
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES:
• Candidates must display the following skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills,
includingtelephone etiquette, sound organizational, administrativeand presentation skills, tact and
diplomacy, including basic financial management skills. Knowledge of the relevant legislation/
policies/prescripts and procedures. Candidates must also be able to manage confidential
documents and information.

literacy.

REQUIREMENTS:
An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Community Development or Social
Science or Public Administration or Project Management plus relevant experience. Computer
literacy in relevant word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software packages.
Candidates must be fluent in both isiZulu and English and be in possession of a valid driver’s
licence (Manual).
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Ensure the employment of Women, Youth and People with Disabilities in the implemented
projects is maximized. Implement new job creation initiatives to maximize employment
of targeted groups. Ensure the implementation of the National Youth Services (NYS)
Programme as a sub-programme of EPWP. Provide programmes implementation support
to the Regions. Provide inputs into the development of policies and procedures and ensure
the compliance thereof.
