Gestalt Sampler:
The Heart of Gestalt
October 18, 2014
Saturday 9:00am-4:30pm
We live in a world where technology connects us across the globe in real time.
Yet feelings of isolation and fragmentation explode into our personal and
professional life and keep us from achieving success. At the same time we
yearn for healing and wholeness in our work and in our relationships. Join us
for a journey of transformation to the heart of Gestalt to explore its meaning and
practice in mindfulness and connection to self and others. We will provide
tools to enhance your interactions with clients, colleagues, friends and family.
Who should attend: Both professional healers and volunteers interested in a
sample of the Gestalt experience will benefit. Psychologists, counselors, social
workers, ministers, teachers, coaches, trainers, consultants, managers,
supervisors, art and physical therapists, nurses, entrepreneurs and students are
welcome.
At the completion of the workshop participants will be able to:
• Appreciate the art and science at the heart of Gestalt Practice
• Recognize the importance of self-awareness in relationship
• Identify the principles of here and now presence
• Differentiate between observation and interpretation and their impact
• Describe Gestalt approaches to one of seven special applications
• Apply at least four Gestalt “tools” for connecting with others
• Exercise Gestalt principles within various levels of system
