Advancing Dutch Analytical Sciences Chromatography: Gas Chromatography 23 May 2015, 10:00-17:00 HAN, Laan van Scheut 2, Nijmegen Content This one-day course will teach you the basic principles of Gas Chromatography (GC). Gas Chromatography is used to separate and analyze volatile samples without decomposition. It can be used for quantitative analysis, but also to identify compounds. The sample preparation, injection, type of column, selection of carrier gas, choice of detector, etc. all affect the outcome of the analysis. Target audience This course is taught in the framework of the Analytical Sciences Talent Program (ASTP) for top talents in vocational education (HLO/Universities of Applied Sciences). Therefore, the course is well fit for employees at that level. Topics Introduction to Gas Chromatography. Plate heights and Van Deemter curves. Method development. Two-dimensional Gas Chromatography. Lecturer Dr. Jan Blomberg Scientist Analytical Seperations at Shell Global Solutions International B.V., Shell Technology Centre in Amsterdam. At the end of the course You will have gained knowledge of the basics Gas Chromatography, its applications and recent developments. Global Chromatography Resin Market
Chromatography is referred to as an essential technology used for the purification of biomolecules in which the components are separated and distributed between two phases named, stationary phase and mobile phase. Chromatography resins used in chromatography process are usually of two types, natural and synthetic. Along with these different inorganic chromatography resins are also widely used in chromatography processes.
