You can see RRC Church Services broadcast on your Public Access Channels in Yankton on Saturday evenings at 7:00 PM. “When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my father in heaven goes into action. Please turn yours off or set to vibrate, during the service Tom the Tank Thomas Rakahr is in the 2nd year of the fight for his life against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Tom the Tank benefit will be held on November 1 from 11 AM—2 PM at St. John’s Lutheran church (1009 Jackson). Baked Potato Bar Benefit, free will donation. All proceeds go to the family. The Rural Office of Community Services Inc (ROCS) will offer area residents the opportunity to meet with a navigator in Yankton to learn more about the Health Insurance marketplace in October. The Health Insurance marketplace is a new way to find coverage that fits an individual’s budget and meets his or her needs. The outreach event is scheduled in Yankton on these dates and times: October 22 from 10 AM—1 PM and 4:00—7:00 PM and November 5 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Northern Lights Conference Room 2 on the 2nd floor of Avera Sacred Heart Hospital’s Northern Lights Addition. No appointment is necessary. LIFE AT RRC Sign ups for Ministry of Music and cookie donations are on the foyer table for Sept—December . PLEASE sign up for a date that is convenient for you!! Habitat for Humanity: Provides lunch to the volunteers the 1st SUNDAY of every month. If you are interested in providing food or money to purchase food and haven’t signed up yet, there is a sign up sheet in the foyer POINSETTIA SALES. Help us decorate the Church Sanctuary for Christmas, while helping to support the Yankton Child Protection Team. Order forms are available on the foyer counter, and sales end today. ERTH will be held at RRC on November 8, 15, and 22 from 1-2 PM. Our church needs to have someone here to prepare and serve beverages (coffee & juice) and help distribute snack foods that the participants provide, and help clean off tables. If you are willing to help with any or all of these Saturdays, please let Teresa in the office know. Someone has already spoken for the 8th Operation Christmas Child We will be doing Operation Christmas Child again this year and boxes are available for pick up beginning today. This will take place on Thursday afternoons, beginning around 1 PM—with coffee time around 3 PM (a 2 hour a week commitment). Cleaning will probably start in the sanctuary, and go wherever needed thru out the church. Come when you can. If you have questions, please talk with Sharon Egge.
