We are also praying for our school families and all the people who support SCJN School, for all our soldiers, Joe Betz, baby Mae Rose, Carol Rocheleau, John Glavin, the Buchanan family, Brian Donoghue, Kim Moore, the Miller family, the Cavanaugh family, Edward Moss, Wayne Abbonizio, Robert Howe, Paul McDyre, four special intentions, for peace and justice throughout the world and that we have the grace and strength to be virtuous people who reflect Jesus and are a friend to all. TUESDAY: SCJN SPIRIT: wear you favorite SCJN jersey or tshirt to school with your SCJN gym sweatpants. WEDNESDAY: HALLOWEEN SPIRIT: students in prek through g. 3 are invited to dress in costume for the parade. Please follow teacher instructions about this day. students in grades 4 to 8 may wear Halloween accessories to school with jeans or sweatpants. Congratulations to Melissa Lamberto and Matt Palmer who will be married this Saturday. Melissa is Mrs. Lamberto’s daughter. We wish Melissa and Matt a lifetime of love and laughter. Please note that apple juice is no longer a beverage option for our students. Coke, our supplier, informed us that they would no longer provide sugary drinks to elementary schools. Help Wanted: The Home & School is still looking for a homeroom parent for Ms. Lamberto’s PK3 and Mrs. Sabatino’s 6th grade. The Kindergarten and 1st grade collected over 320 jars of peanut butter and jelly for the Nutritional Development program. This will be distributed to food banks throughout the diocese. A big thank you to all who participated The Sixth Grade is leading the Social Justice Project for October. We are collecting monetary donations for the Mothers’ Home in Darby. The Mothers’ Home is a nonprofit organization that provides shelter for homeless expectant mothers. While at the Mothers’ Home, the women are given assistance through life skills and job preparation in addition to help with their pregnancies and infant care. Each classroom has a baby bottle in which the children can donate their change (or paper money). Sixth grade will visit each classroom to collect the donations regularly. This project will continue through Monday, November 3. SCJN Boutique Shops – The Sponsorship Committee is asking any school parents or relatives that work for companies or organizations that might be willing to be a Sponsor of our Boutique Shops. Sponsorships range from $200-$1500 and help offset some of the expenses from the event and raise more money for our school. Sponsors will be featured on the school website, signs and all the marketing materials for the SCJN Boutique Shops. A letter with your specific Mass and additional instructions will go home Wednesday or Thursday with your youngest student in K through 8th. ATHLETIC BOARD NEWS Field Hockey: Our field hockey team won its first round playoff game on Monday and advances to the second round against Annunciation on October 22 at 4PM at the Grange Field. The rain date is Friday Oct 24. Come out and support the team! Varsity Soccer: Our varsity soccer team defeated Sacred Heart on Sunday 3-2 taking their season record to 7-0-1. They go for an undefeated season this weekend. Go Saints! JV Soccer: Our JV soccer team defeated St John Chrysostom 2-1 and St Bernadette 3-2 bringing their season record to 6-2-1. Congratulations! The Fall Sports Mass will be held on Sunday, October 26 at the 9:00AM SJN Mass. Immediately following the mass, coffee and donuts will be served in the New Life Center. Ss.
