Project & Research Officer
Applications are invited from suitable persons to fill the position of Project &
Research Officer in the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office, the representative
office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government located in Sydney.
Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Project & Research Officer will mainly be
assisting in the promotion of Hong Kong in New Zealand including but not limited to
the monitoring and preparing reports and briefs on economic and trade issues in
New Zealand; conduct research; engage in liaison and networking activities - in
particular maintaining close contact with relevant government officials, business
associations and industry bodies in New Zealand; assist in organizing visit
programmes for delegations and visitors from Hong Kong and assist in promotional
activities in New Zealand.
Minimum Requirements
1. An accredited university Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
2. Minimum of two years of relevant post-qualification working experience in
research, project management or liaison roles in New Zealand or relevant to the
New Zealand market.
3. Excellent presentation and communication skills in English.
4. Should be eligible to take up employment in Australia.
5. Knowledge of Hong Kong will be an advantage but not essential.
Terms
1. Two-year fixed term contract for immediate commencement.
2. Annual salary from AUD76,068 plus superannuation depending on experience
and skills.
3. This is a Sydney based position.

departments in New Zealand, understanding on Hong Kong and the work of HKETO.
