Overview of Candidate Profile Registration
•
What is the candidate Profile?
o  The Candidate Profile is a series of online forms registering the candidate in
the RESA Submission System. These forms detail the candidate’s work and
education history.
o
The Candidate Profile also includes a form for the Tripod Survey administration
for Task 5.
Tip: Helpful to have your
resume on hand as you
complete the Candidate Profile!
•
How will this information be used?
•
This information is confidential and secure and will be used only for the
purposes of assuring fairness and anonymity in the scoring process. Candidate
submissions will be assigned to assessors who they are not likely to know or to
have crossed paths with in their work and education history.
What is the deadline to complete the candidate Profile?
o
o
December 15, 2014. You will not be able to submit Task 1 without having first
submitted your Candidate Profile.

Other Information about the Candidate Profile
•
Subject Area
o
If you teach in more than one subject area, you are not required to use classes
in the subject area you’ve entered in the Profile for all RESA tasks.
o
You may submit materials from any class you feel best suits the task
requirements but you must make sure that the “Teaching and Learning Context
Form” correspond to the for which you are submitting evidence and completing
forms. Teachscape will use this information to ensure that the assessor
assigned will be matched correctly for that grade level and content area.
•
Save and Continue Button
o
The Save and Continue button will turn blue when you have entered all the
required information and answered all questions. If you have done so and it is
still gray, check your browser and make sure you are using Google Chrome.
•
Missing Schools and Institutions
o
If you cannot find your school in the institution drop down menus, please

contact the Help Desk for further assistance so that school can be added to the
profile.
o
Please note that ESCs are being added to the Candidate Profiles this week so if
this applies to you, please standby and attempt to complete this section next
week.

Tripod Student Perception Survey Signup
•
Most candidates are required to administer the Tripod Student Perception
Survey so that they can reflect on the results in their Task 5 submission
o  If you teach fewer than 5 students, teach pre-k or teach in an online
setting, you may have a colleague observe you and complete the
Alternate Observation Response Form found at the end of Task 5.
è Even if you fall into this category, you must still complete the Tripod
Form on the Candidate Profile in order to submit it.
