SURROUNDLITE TECHNOLOGY
Slim with SurroundLite provides the flexibility of high efficacy spherical three dimensional wide batwing distributions and
shielding options that all result in true lighting effectiveness. Slim is only 1.375” depth with integral driver and a light guide with
proper cutoff and no view of bugs or dust particles.
An innovative technology to get much more out of LEDs: Axis SurroundLite is based on the fundamental physics of how light
interacts with matter. The specially engineered lightguide is made of precisely coded and aligned molecules that shape LED
output in all three dimensions.
With SurroundLite extra-wide, multidimensional light distribution, light is directed in all three planes and sent in every corner of
the room. SurroundLite brings the promise of balanced brightness, facilitating lighting design.

results in soft fill light on the vertical plane.
No Streaks or Hot Spots of Light
Axis SurroundLite technology spreads out light uniformly
versus Lambertian distributions that put an intensity of light
directly above and below the luminaire.

SUSPENSION / MOUNTING SPACING
High precision light guide made of PMMA material, allows
distribution of controlled light in all 3-dimensions to put
light on both vertical and horizontal planes within the
space. Patented lightguide design featuring molecular
optics and precision-coupled optic components yield a
high efficiency luminaire. In-plane mixing maximizes color
uniformity while light emitting area is uniform and diffuse
without ‘head lighting’ from the LED’s.

INTEGRATED CONTROLS
SLIM luminaires allow the use of integrated controls such as daylight sensors (DS),
occupancy sensors (OS) and combination daylight/occupancy sensors (DOS). These options can
be seamlessly integrated into our luminaires. The control system could be used to optimize the
lighting of the space by reducing energy consumption through daylight harvesting and occupancy,
thereby improving the overall interior environment and allowing for LEED credits.

The integrated control systems offered are:
DAYLIGHT HARVESTING (DS):
OCCUPANCY (OS):
With daylight sensors, maximum
lamp output is reduced according
to the available amount of natural
light. By reducing maximum lamp
output, energy consumption is
reduced by up to 20 percent in
a process known as “Daylight
Harvesting”.
When a room is vacated,
occupancy sensors ensure the
light will be turned off after a
programmed delay as well as
ensuring that light remains on
while the room is occupied.

In the integrated Controls column, select the appropriate code:
a. For Daylight sensors, select “DS”
b. For Occupancy sensors, select “OS”
c. For Daylight & Occupancy sensor, select “DOS”
Write the code for the specific control after the sensor code.
Example:
DS-LD - for EC-DIR-WH Daylight sensor
OS-WP1 - for FS-205 Occupancy sensor
DOS-PA - for Actilume Daylight & Occupancy sensor
Consult table below and select specific controls options for
DS, OS or DOS controls.
