The purpose of the Bioceramics annual meetings is to bring together researchers and clinicians, in order to establish an open forum for presentation and discussion of the latest advances in the field of bioceramics research and their medical applications. The conference includes sessions on new processing routes for bioceramics and biocomposites, surface engineering and bioceramic coatings, biomineralisation and biomimetics, bioceramics for drug delivery, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, cell and tissue interactions and clinical applications of bioceramics in dentistry and orthopaedics. Bioceramics 26 is held in Barcelona, one of the world's leading tourist, economic and cultural centres. The city enjoys a prime location, bathed by the Mediterranean and very well connected with the rest of Europe. Its geographic situation and the open character of its inhabitants are the reasons of its vast cultural wealth. It has a valuable architectural and monumental heritage, the most splendid exponents of which are its Gothic and modernist buildings. The city offers to the visitors endless opportunities to explore and enjoy. Have a nice time in Barcelona and enjoy the BIOCERAMICS 26 2014 Symposium. Welcome to Barcelona!
