771 PRI ME LAMB
A much reduced entry of mixed quality sold to a slightly firmer trade all round. As ever, a large contingent of heavy lamb
consisted of some great pens and the top prices were dominated by a superb run from Robin Banks of Honiton returning
to selling in Exeter market after many years of absence. His five pens of Charollais sired lamb tipped the scales between
52-53Kg and sold to £77.20, £76.50, £76.20 and £75.20 twice, while David Goss of Totnes sold Charollais sired shorn
overweights to £76. More 52Kg’s at £73.20 for Micheal & Tom Hartnell also from Totnes, 51kg to £73 for Ken
Luscombe of South Milton and 50Kg to £72.80 for Danny Folland of Witheridge who also sold 49Kgs at £74.20. 48Kgs
reached £73 for Keith & Christine Morish of Cheriton Bishop as 47Kgs rose to £73.80 (157ppk) for Ray Toms also of
Cheriton Bishop who also had 46Kgs at £71, a price matched by Richard Rogers of South Milton who sold others of the
same weight at £70.20. 45Kgs topped at £68 for RD Middleton & Son of Ashreigney and £67.80 for Roy Gillard of
Drewsteignton. A cracking pen of 44Kgs climbed to £70.20 (160ppk) for Adrian Bowden, also of Drewsteignton, closely
followed by Alan Bickley of Puddington with more 44Kgs at £68.80 and 43Kgs at £67.20, further pens of 43Kgs at £67 for
Keith & Christine Morish and also birthday boy Paul Edworthy of Ashburton. 42Kgs to £67 for 23 from Rob James of
Chawleigh and £66.80 for Phil Morish of Whiddon Down, a price matched by

of Newton Abbot. Mashams traded to £94.50 again for Chris Walters while strong Mules were over £10 dearer on the
week and sold to £87.50 & £79.50 for Lyneham Farms of Plymouth and £84 & £82 again for John Tucker with plenty in
the £72-£80 range. Lean and lightweight ewes harder to place and trading similar or maybe a fraction less. Grazing ewes
