Sometimes a quick burst of an idea comes across one of our minds’ ear, and if we are free of ourselves we let that idea emerge. The rest of the group will react to the idea, or the idea presented exists as a counterpoint to whatever is already going on in the music. The result can be astounding...and not so astounding...but it will always be. 11.08.2014 • Harvey Diamond Jon Dreyer • music.jondreyer.com Legendary pianist Harvey Diamond and bassist Jon Dreyer perform jazz standards and songs from the Great American Songbook, "honing gems...into personal statements that leave us yearning for more...Diamond is a master of both melody and harmony much like his predecessors in the legacy of jazz piano, Bill Evans and Lennie Tristano."
