Notice of Public Hearing
to consider amendments to
Abbotsford Official Community Plan Bylaw, 2005; and
Abbotsford Zoning Bylaw, 2014
Abbotsford Council will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 pm on
November 3, 2014, in the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium,
32315 South Fraser Way, Abbotsford, B.C., under the
provisions of the Local Government Act to consider
the following bylaws. At the Public Hearing, all persons
who believe their interest in property is affected by these
proposed bylaws will be afforded a reasonable opportunity
to be heard or to present written submissions respecting
matters contained in the bylaws that are the subject of the
hearing.
The following is a synopsis of the bylaws amending the
Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw of the City
of Abbotsford, and is not deemed to be an interpretation.
A copy of each of the bylaws and relevant background
documentation may be inspected in the Planning Services
Division (2nd Floor), Abbotsford City Hall, 32315 South
Fraser Way, Abbotsford, B.C., on October 21, 22, 23, 24,
27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and November 3, 2014 between 8:30 am

subdivision, which will allow for the
development of a farm equipment
sales, leasing, and servicing centre.
If Bylaw No. 2366-2014 is adopted,
the lands will be redesignated from
City Centre to City Residential. If
Zoning Bylaw No. 2406-2014 is
adopted, a new Comprehensive
Development Thirty-Seven Zone
(N37) will be created to allow
the construction of a supportive
housing development.

The City of Abbotsford fully supports Branch 15, Royal
Canadian Legion, Abbotsford, in commemorating Canada’s
National Remembrance Day. The ceremony will take
place at the Cenotaph in Thunderbird Memorial Square
off Veterans Way on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Please
arrive by 10:30 am. Parade commences at 10:40 am. All
citizens are encouraged to attend and to lower their flags to
half-mast to honour Canada’s wartime sacrifices. We will
remember them.
There will be road closures due to the Remembrance Day
Parade (10:00 am-11:00 am hrs):

motor vehicle traffic
• Cruickshank Street from Simon to George Ferguson Way
closed to all motor vehicle traffic
• Trethewey Street from South Fraser Way to George

Notice of Permissive Tax Exemption
Pursuant to Section 224 of the Community Charter, the Council of the City of Abbotsford
will consider the following bylaws for adoption at the Special (Open) Meeting of Council on
Thursday, October 30, 2014, at 8:30 am, in Room 530, Fifth Floor, City Hall, 32315 South
