CRD perforated supply air diffusers with a vertical “piston effect” air pattern are designed for a non-aspirating
laminar flow. The diffusers are recommended for cooling and ventilating locations where clean air control is
especially important. Typical applications are surgical suites, intensive care areas, pharmaceutical laboratories,
and industrial clean rooms.
The diffusers are available in 10 nominal sizes from 24x24 to 72x36 and are designed for use in lay-in T-bar
ceilings and surface mount applications. Panels have a removable face with a safety chain for easy cleaning.
CRD diffusers have low aspirating characteristics resulting in slow temperature and velocity equalization of the air
mass into the zone of occupancy, providing the engineer greater control over airflow in sensitive environments.
CRD supply diffusers perform efficiently with air loadings of 25 to 50 air changes per hour (based on 10’ ceiling
heights) and sound level range of NC 25 to 35.
