Code of Conduct
1. As a student of Metro Dance & Acrobatic Company, I
understand that...
A.
I am to attend class with respect for all MDAC, staff members, guest instructors,
assistants, classmates, and property. If I do not behave in a respectful manner, I may not be
permitted back into the class or any other class offered at MDAC.
B.
In class, I will be praised and corrected throughout the time I am there. I agree to
put forth my best effort and to apply my corrections to my skills without resistance.
C.
If I am late to class, I will not be permitted into the studio. If I am late or absent
from class frequently, I may not be permitted to perform in some or any parts of the dances I
expect to be in.
D.
I am responsible to come to class in my class uniform with my hair pulled up and
the dance shoes I need for that day. I am old enough to read this therefore, I cannot blame my
mother, father, or any other person if I come to class unprepared.
E.
Positive and negative attitudes are contagious. Only positive attitudes are
welcomed in the studio. If I display a negative attitude towards any MDAC staff or student, I
will be asked to leave class for the day.
2.
As a student of Metro Dance & Acrobatic Company, I will...
A.
Be committed to achieving the goals I set for myself.
B.
Encourage my fellow classmates to also achieve their goals.
C.
Applaud all other performers at the events I attend.
D.
Be 100% prepared and on time for every class, this means I will take care of all
bathroom activities prior to entering my class.
E.
Wait inside the school until I am picked up by an adult.
F.
Be friendly and polite to all people I encounter at the events and competitions I
perform in.
G.
Only have water, dance attire, and dance shoes in the studio.
H.
Take extra special care of every costume I own.
3. As a student of Metro Dance & Acrobatic Company, I will
NOT...
A.
Interrupt or disturb another students learning in anyway. This is especially
important when my instructor is doing specific work or corrections with another student. I am
to quietly wait unless it is a bathroom or other sort of emergency.
B.
Talk over the teacher while he or she is addressing the class. I will wait until my
teacher is finished talking to ask my question.
C.
Scoff at or deny the corrections I am given. I attend MDAC to become a better
performer molded by the staff of MDAC, not myself.
D.
Eat food or chew gum in class in the studio EVER.
E.
Bring any toys or electronic devices such as cell phones into class with me.
F.
Wear jewelry when I attend class.
G.
Damage the property of MDAC or its members.
E.
Ever put my hands on another person in a violent manner.
F.
Publicly disrespect my mother, father, or any other adult who enables me to take
classes at MDAC.
