Dogs entered at Kennel Club Licensed Field Trials must be registered at the Kennel Club Ltd in accordance with Kennel Club Ltd Regulations for Classification and Registration B. 2. The Spaniel Club reserves the right to refuse any entry. 3. No substitution of dog entered will be permitted whilst reserves are standing. 4. All dogs resident outside the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Ltd Authority to Compete number before entry to the event can be made. All overseas entries without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the competitor. 5. If entries or nominations exceed the number of permitted runners, the right to compete in a Trial shall be decided by ballot. 6. Should circumstances so dictate the Society, in consultation with the judges, may alter arrangements as necessary. Such changes and the circumstances surrounding them will be reported to the Kennel Club Ltd at the earliest opportunity. 7. No modification may be made to the schedule after publication except by permission of the Kennel Club Ltd, followed by advertisement in appropriate journals if time permits before the closing of entries. 8. Judges at a Trial are prohibited from entering a dog which is recorded in their ownership or part ownership. 9. DOGS IN CARS ON HOT DAYS Your dog is vulnerable and AT RISK if left in a vehicle in high temperatures and even on days considered as slightly warm. Please take care of your dog. If your dog is found to be at risk forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary without liability for any damage caused. 10. Welfare of Dogs An exhibitor (or competitor) whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club Ltd licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not knowingly put their dogs’ health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. A breach of this Regulation may be referred to the General Committee for disciplinary action under Kennel Club Ltd Rules and Regulations. 11. Videography and Photography No video filming and/or photography of any Spaniel Club will be allowed without express prior permission of the club, its’ organisers and hosts. ENTRIES WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED ON A FULLY COMPLETED ENTRY FORM WITH THE RELEVANT ENTRY FEE ENCLOSED. OPEN STAKES: Preference in the draw is given to dogs which have gained a 1st, 2nd or 3rd in Open stakes or 1st in an All-Aged or Novice stake NOVICE STAKES: Confined to dogs which have not gained a place which would qualify them for first preference in the draw for Open Stakes THE DRAW: Will be held at 7.30pm on the closing date for entries at the home address of the Field Trial Secretary, at 56 Greenpark Road, Northfield, Birmingham B31 5BD. Any member wishing to attend please contact the Field Trial Secretary. THE MEET: Time and directions to the venue will be advised to all entrants with the result of the draw either via email on receipt of a valid email address or by post on receipt of a SAE enclosed with the entry form. MULTIPLE ENTRY: If entering more than one dog please indicate preference clearly and send separate forms and separate cheques for each dog (Please duplicate forms as necessary) WITHDRAWAL: regulation J7f applies The Kennel Club’s Codes of Conduct specify the type of behaviour expected of those who take part in competitive gundog work. Participants should be aware of their contents and, in particular, should never publicly impugn decisions of the Judge or Judges. Neither should they criticise the host, ground or guns. ENTRANTS FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE TRIALS SHOULD MAKE THEMSELVES FULLY AWARE OF THE SPANIEL CLUB MISSION STATEMENT AND CODE OF CONDUCT – ESPECIALLY IN RELATION TO SHOWING DUE RESPECT TO THE HOSTS AND ORGANISERS WITH REGARD TO APPROPRIATE DRESS CODE THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRETY OF THESE EVENTS.
