Term 4 Week 4
Week 4 is proving to be another busy week! The weather was held off for the Junior School multi-skills athletics day
yesterday and it was great to see the many supporters who were able to get down and support the children.
Good luck to the athletes who are representing our school at the Rakahuri Zone Athletics Champs on Friday at RNLS!
It is scary to think that there are only just over 5 school weeks left until the end of the year - we will fit in class trips and
camps, reports, new classes, and other end-of-the-year things into the school programme. Just a reminder that our last
day in Wednesday 17 December (finish at 12.30pm). Please communicate with your child’s teacher if you are unsure of
what may be happening in the next few weeks or need further details about an event.
Please remember school is closed next Thursday and Friday for Show Weekend.

challenging themselves in this area!!
Nina has just completed her grading in Judo

next level for Nina is achieving her Orange Belt

Rakahuri Zone Athletic Sports – Friday 7th November
This year Southbrook School is represented by 70 students ranging in age from 9 years and under to 13 years and over.
The event is being held at Rangiora New Life School with boys track and girls field events starting at 9.30am and boys
field and girls track events beginning at around mid-day.
I am still looking for a team of parents to assist me in managing the team. This is a very easy job and involved ensuring
that students get to their events on time.
We encourage family to come down and spend part of the day with us and support your athletes.
If you can assist (for any part of the day) please see me at the event or contact me tomorrow at school.

donations to form food parcels (eg canned or bottled items, home made baking etc) these items can be brought to the
school office over the next few weeks or If you wish to make a monetary donation you can do so at
