How much are the tickets?

who either qualified in Scotland or have Scottish connections acceptable to the Committee.
How will tickets be allocated?
As in previous years, allocation of tables will be at the discretion of the Committee. In the
case of over subscription preference will be given on the basis of the number of paid-up
members of the Society. Tables will consist of either ten or twelve places. The Society is
nevertheless organised for the benefit of its members and we are almost always able to
accommodate applications from members for tables of less than ten or twelve places, and
single applications from members.

As Speakers are confirmed, we will circulate an email amongst the members to let them
know.
Successful Applicants
Once the closing date for applications, 13 November 2014, has passed a formal
acknowledgement to successful and unsuccessful applicants will be sent out shortly
thereafter. Sent with this email will be a link to the Society's website page giving details of
the menu and information on how to order wine and or other drinks.
Can I pre-order drinks?
With regard to pre-Supper drinks, these are made available in the King George III Room
where a cash bar is available. Pre-Supper and Supper drinks for corporate hospitality tables
can be pre-ordered directly from The Brewery and not via the Society.
As noted above, the wine list and forms for pre-ordering both pre-Supper and Supper drinks
will be made available on the website by the time your application is confirmed.
What if I have special dietary requirements?
Arrangements can be made for vegetarians/persons with special dietary requirements. This
information is supplied to The Brewery via the Society. Please note that if the Society is not
notified of any specific dietary requirements by Monday 5 January an extra cost will be
charged by The Brewery for each special meal required and this cost will be passed on to the
applicant.
What is the dress code?
The Burns Supper is a black tie event.

Can I provide a seating plan for my table?
Successful applicants are responsible for laying out place names at their table(s) and access is
given early to the Port Tun Room where the Supper is held to allow this to be done.
Can non-members apply for tickets?
The Committee would like to emphasise that for applications to be successful they must be
made by a fully paid up member of the Society. To apply for membership please email
membership@scottishlawyersinlondon.co.uk to request an application form.

Methods of Payment
Funds can be wired to the Society account name: The Society of Scottish Lawyers in
London, sort code: 16-00-15 and account number: 23111198. Please ensure you include an
identifiable reference and you have returned a completed application form by post to Robin
Shannan, McClure Naismith LLP, Equitable House, 47 King William Street, London EC4R
9AF (DX No: 764 CDE London) or by email to rsvp@scottishlawyersinlondon.co.uk.
Alternatively funds can be sent by cheque made payable to The Society of Scottish Lawyers
in London and posted together with a completed application form to the address above.
Your application form should be returned as soon as possible and in any case by 13
November 2014. No application will be accepted without a cheque or wire for the full
amount. In the event of cancellation, refunds can only be made if the cancelled places are
taken up by other guests. Successful applicants will be e-mailed on or shortly after 13
November 2014. Successful applicants will be asked to provide the names of all their guests
and details of any specific dietary requirements by not later than 5 January 2015.
