DEDo operating Laryngoscope
ENT 125 07/2013-E DEDo operating Laryngoscope DEDo Operating Laryngoscope The signature of the DEDo Laryngoscope is the house roof shape of the proximal opening. The DEDo adult anterior commissure laryngoscope allows excellent visualization of the interior of the larynx, from the arytenoids into the anterior commissure, in adult patients as well as patients as young as 4-6 years old. In conjunction with Dr. DEDo, KArL sTorZ has created the new DEDo laryngoscope with an improved ergonomic light weight handle and superior craftsmanship using only the highest quality materials. Customer Testimonials “Excellent visualization with beautiful German craftsmanship.” Dr. Dedo “This is an excellent laryngoscope that I think represents a definite improvement in the original design. I am confident it will work well in every application the DEDO was known for and believe that it will expand the spectrum significantly.” Dr. Castellanos - University of Alabama at Birmingham 2 3 Key Design Features and Benefits acc. to DEDO The tip of the laryngoscope is designed with a rounded “V” for optimum exposure. The proximal end is designed to work with two Light Carriers at the same time. Also compatible with the new VITom® Exoscope system from KArL sTorZ. The size of the proximal end plus the minimal top to bottom dimension of the tube allows this laryngoscope to be used successfully in most adults, even with a tooth guard. Key Design Features and Benefits acc. to DEDO The “down bend” on the proximal end, with 90˚ corners at 5:00 and 7:00 o’clock, combined with the “up bend” on the distal end and the triangular shape of the latter allows excellent visualization of the anterior commissure. The absence of light carriers running along the handle makes it easy to hold during insertion into and removal from the larynx. The working lumen's inner surface has a matte finish which reduces the reflection of lasers. Illumination is good with one light carrier and even better with two using the bifurcated light cable. 4 5 Instruments and Accessories recommended by Dr. DEDO 8890 A 8575 K 8890 A DEDO Operating Laryngoscope, with extra light handle, length 18 cm 8574 LG Fiber Optic Light Carrier, for distal illumination, length 14 cm, for use with Laryngoscope 8890 A 8574 JH Fiber Optic Light Carrier, for distal illumination, lenght 12 cm, for use with Laryngoscope 8890 A 8574 LN Suction Tube, to remove vapor, length 14 cm, for use with Laryngoscope 8890 A 8574 JK Suction Tube, to remove vapor, lenght 12 cm, for use with Laryngoscope 8890 A 8575 K Laryngoscope Holder and Chest Support, GÖTTINGEN model, with adjustment wheel including: Support Rod, movable, with metal ring, diameter 9 cm, length 34 cm 8575 KC Benjamin-Parsons Laryngoscope Holder and Chest Support, GÖTTINGEN model, with adjustment wheel including: BENJAMIN-PARSONS Support Rod, movable, with metal ring, diameter 12 cm and 2 lateral set screws, length 34 cm 497 AC BENJAMIN-HAVAS Clip, short, for proximal illumination Easy application to laryngoscope for distal illumination during introduction 495 UD Fiber Optic Light Cable, 2× diameter 3.5 mm, length 180 cm, for simultaneous light transmission for 2 instruments 8575 KC 497 AC 495 UD Notes 6 7 Notes KARL STORZ Endoscopy-America, Inc. 2151 East Grand Avenue El Segundo, CA 90245-5017, USA Phone: +1 424 218-8100 Phone toll free: 800 421-0837 (US only) Fax: +1 424 218-8525 Fax toll free: 800 321-1304 (US only) E-Mail: info@ksea.com 96052109 ENT 125 07/2013/EW-E KARL STORZ GmbH & Co.
