RV Campout: at Coastal Black Winery (left) and celebrating birthdays at Seal Bay Android Aid (left) and Apple Aid (right) Ethnic Dining at Asteras Tours Coordinator: Corine Devries, 250-245-0907 or Carol Richardson 250-758-2025 The Sidney Tour included the BC Aviation Museum (Peter Kistler, retired pilot in the cockpit of the Trans Canada Airlines Viscount) and the Shaw Marine Centre. We have had a successful year with fun trips enjoyed by many. Next year will start with a tour of the Legislative Buildings in Victoria watching our MLA’s in action (or inaction), lunch in the executive dining room, then a stop at Royal Roads, with a visit to the Hatley Museum. ! Our big trip next year in early September will be a Wine Tour of the Okanagan. We will be away for 2 nights, and will include a visit to the NK’Mip Desert Cultural Centre in Osoyoos. We are giving you lots of warning so you can plan your other holidays around it. ! Many members would love to go to Painters at Painters Lodge again, so we may plan to revisit some old trips. Dieuwke Steenstra will host on November 23, from 4:30 - 7 PM. Look for sign-up sheets at the next meeting. We would also like more people to sign up to host these events after xmas. For more information, call Cathie Novak. The host provides plates, napkins, coffee & tea. Guests bring an appetizer to share, & their own labeled glass and drink. For women members: University of Ottawa student is seeking your help with PhD Research in Clinical Psychology As part of her doctoral dissertation Suzanne Bell is conducting a study on the experiences of women in intimate relationships. Your participation will help researchers and health care professionals better understand the experiences of women 50+ years old. It is an area that has received very little research attention. This study has received ethics approval from the University of Ottawa’s Research Ethics Board. ! Criteria: Women who are 50+ years old, in a long-term, intimate relationship, fluent in English, & live in Canada What to do: Complete the online, anonymous questionnaire at: www.surveymonkey.com/s/IntimateWomen !
