This series of hands-on workshops hope to help the BIM practitioners upskill their BIM knowledge in using BIM tools at project level, to facilitate the more efficient building design. The session will explore techniques for creating components families , covering: • Create in-place components to model project-specific elements and geometries. • Adapt existing component families to meet their needs by adding and removing forms as well as assigning materials. • Create new component families and add parameters that enable them to dynamically resize the components and change their materials. Speakers Profile: Vijay Raina is a Technical Specialist for AEC at Autodesk Asia Pte Ltd, He has more than 13 years of AEC industry experience working in India and Middle East. He is a Mechanical Engineer with Extensive hands-on experience and was working as BIM Manager-MEP for Tilke GmbH in Bahrain. He has successfully completed many multi-million Dollar projects using Autodesk Revit as BIM Platform. Some of the Projects such as the Dubai Metro, the 850 Beds Multi Specialty Hospital(SKMC) in Abu Dhabi (UAE), the F1 Track for Buddh International CircuitIndia and Masdar City.
