Flashback to our October meeting:
Greeters: Josephine Fraser & Merrily Walker
Guest Speakers: Kenn Norman & Jonathan Walford
Kenn & Jonathan took us
back in time to explore
Fashion History.
They run The Fashion
History Museum (FHM),
which demonstrates that
clothing can be both a
necessity as well as a
cultural expression.
As an industry, it employs millions and is a driving force
behind our global economy.
The Museum was founded in 2004 with nearly 10,000
garments and accessories dating from 1600 to today. The
old Post Office in Hespeler houses the Museum. There is
so much more to see, so definitely plan to visit!
Introduced by Diana Esmits
Thanked by: Julia Boyd
Mystery Woman for October

In Flanders Fields by Col. John McCrae
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
