The Seattle yard has three dry docks – the largest capable of handling ships
up to 2,000 tons – plus cranes, lifts and other equipment required for a full
range of vessel services. In addition, the yard has increased haul capacity with
upland transfers for vessels up to 1,000 tons. The steam-powered Foss 300
floating derrick, with a capacity of 75 tons, is available to shipyard customers
and for work throughout Puget Sound.
The Foss Terminal is located on six acres of multi-use property adjacent
to the Seattle Shipyard and has 600 lineal feet of bulkhead waterfront.
The Terminal is fully equipped for moorage and shore side services, and is
the temporary home to a growing number of vessels undergoing essential
scheduled maintenance and repairs.

technicians are skilled in repairs on hydraulic,
electrical, piping, deck machinery and
installation, and work closely with the Coast
Guard, DNV and other regulatory agencies.
• Conversions and Outfitting –
