New Jersey's action was a first step toward making the first 10 amendments to the Constitution law and completing the revolutionary reforms begun by the Declaration of Independence. The deadline is January 20 , 2015. Requirements are that you are a high school senior, attempting college next year, have a least one parent of Hispanic/Latino Heritage, be a U.S. Resident. You must submit letters of recommendation, have a list of community service projects, provide a transcript and write a personal essay highlighting your academic career and personal goals. Students-you can take a Napa Valley College class in January here on our site! Napa Valley College will be hosting Counseling 100-College Success. The class is worth 3 credits and is transferable to a 4 year college. Class will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15- 4:30pm starting January 21st and running through May 28th. To take the class, you must apply for Spring 2015 on the Napa Valley College website. Once you have applied, you will need to go over to campus and bring a High School Concurrent Enrollment Form (Request for Special Admission). Speech Contest sponsored by the American Association of University Women! Applications are in Student Services, and are due by December 12th. The speech topic is “College: Is it Worth the Time and Expense?” Speeches must be 5-7minutes in length.
