ENTRY DEADLINE
Sponsors who wish to be assured of re-entering their team in the same league as last year (2013-14) must file
their entry contract along with the proper fee at the Adult Sports Office, either in person or by mail, no later than
5:00 PM on: Friday, November 14, 2014
LEAGUE TRANSFER REQUESTS
Teams wishing to transfer to a different league than last year may turn in a transfer request with their renewal
contract. These requests will be reviewed on Monday, November 17, 2014 and teams will be moved if
possible. Keep in mind that if the league you wish to transfer into is full, and then you will remain in the league
you played in last year.
NEW TEAM ENTRY
Entries from new teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the Adult Sports Office, 5225 W.
Vliet Street, Room 163 starting at 8:00AM on: Tuesday, November 18, 2014

SPONSORSHIP OF TEAM
A sponsor’s establishment must be located in the City of Milwaukee in order to be certified under the regular entry
fee. Sponsors outside the City of Milwaukee must add $50.00 to their entry fee. A team withdrawing from the
league before the season schedules have been run will be refunded one half of the entry fee. A team
withdrawing from the league after the season schedules have been run will not receive a refund.
In the event a team requests to SWITCH LEAGUES after the schedule has been printed; the Office will consider
the request only if: 1) The season has NOT already begun, OR 2) Additional $25.00 administrative fee is
collected from the team manager. (NOTE: There are no guarantees!) Example: Your team intended to
register for the Burdick/Tuesday league, but instead, registered for the Bell/Wednesday league by
mistake.
OFFICE HOURS
The Adults Sports Office is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
FORFEIT FEE PROCEDURE
The forfeit fee shall be $30.00. A team that forfeits a game must pay the forfeit fee immediately after the
forfeited game. If the fee is not paid before the next regularly scheduled game, the team may be dropped from
the league. A team with an unpaid forfeit at the end of the season will lose its contract renewal privileges for the
following season if the fee is not paid by the renewal deadline.

PLAYER/COACH ELIGIBILITY
A. Every player must be officially registered, having a player card on file at the Adult Sports Office before being
eligible to play.
B. Individuals are eligible to play by filling out an individual player card and paying the $15.00 player fee,
which is non-refundable. Teams may have an unlimited number of players on their roster, however, only up
to 10 players are assessed the $15.00 player fee. Each additional player beyond 10 is free but
must still register by having a player card on file in order to be a legal player.
C. All participants must reside in the State of Wisconsin.
D. Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration.
E. Players may be added to a roster at anytime during the season but any players added after Friday,
February 6th, 2015 will NOT be eligible for tournament play.
F. Manager is responsible for ALL player’s eligibility.
PLAYER PARTICIPATION (Local Rule – City of Milwaukee)
A player may register and play with only one team per night in the municipal basketball program sponsored by
the MPS Sports Office unless officially released. If a player plays with multiple teams on different nights and more
than one team makes the playoffs, the player will have to declare which team they will participate with prior to
the start of the tournament.
MANAGERS’ MEETING
The 2014-15 Basketball Managers’ Meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 10th, 2014 at 6:00pm, in
the MPS Auditorium, 5225 W. Vliet Street. The managers meeting will also be available in a power point
presentation on our website on the basketball page. Rule and league changes will be discussed at this time. All
league schedules and information will be available on our website at www.milwaukeerecreation.net. In the
event that you do not have access to the internet, schedule packets will be distributed by request only. Please
call us to request that a schedule packet should be ready for you at the Managers Meeting. Managers are
required to attend the meeting or view the meeting on our website.
LEAGUE START DATES (Tentative)
January 5, 2015, Leagues will run for 10 weeks.
CITY TOURNAMENT
This year there will be a $25.00 entry fee for the City Tournament. If your team qualifies and you decided
to participate in the tournament, this fee must be paid by Friday, March 20, 2015.
PLAYING RULES
Current official National Federation High School (NFHS) basketball rules will govern play with exceptions and
interpretations as noted in the Policy and Procedure Manual provided by the Adult Sports Office.
TEAM UNIFORMS/SHIRTS – REQUIRED!!
Team uniforms are required to play each game. Specific uniform requirements/guidelines:
1) UNIFORM COLOR (chosen at the time of registration)
2) PERMANENT NUMBERS (Number placement can be printed on the front or back of the jersey however, all
jersey must be identical as to the placement of the numbers.)
(TAPE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE).
OFFICIAL BALL
Each team must furnish an official basketball, (leather) in good condition and deemed playable.
AWARDS
The Sports Office will provide an award voucher to the first place team in each league. All-City Tournament
awards will be given to the tournament champion and runner-up.
